Sorry, Saylin, that was a stupid question, I know they don't call anyone but I did think that maybe they email you eventually with a Case Complete. When they do finally assign an interview date, if you don't call, they do email you to inform you of that, right?

Thanks!

They don't email you about case complete unless you're doing EP. You can only find out by calling in your case of case complete.

For the interview though, yes, they do email you. So there really isn't a need to call if you don't want to know asap.

Congratulations on your visa! How amazing! I will hopefully be following you to Sydney in a few months for our interview. How did it go? :)

I did call, and the fellow (very nice btw) said they were waiting on my AOS packet. Which was delivered last week. I am now starting to panic a little. Hopefully it just means they are still processing it? Maybe I will call back later to try a different operator. This is freaking me out. I hope they didn't lose it!

It does take around a week to review packages, so you should hear very soon of them reviewing it. Just keep calling once a day!

Will my spouse be interviewed with any questions from the AOS package? There is a lot of personal financial information that I am sensitive to.

The officer can ask any question they like, including anything from the AOS package.

Can someone tell me what is in Packet 3 and packet 4? Just curious as I wait around.

Packet 3 and 4 are for K1 visa applicants.

Packet 3 is something like a combination of the AOS and IV packages, but with different forms. And it's sent directly to the consulate/embassy instead of NVC.

Packet 4 is the interview letter, so technically, IR-1/CR-1 visa applicants get this.

After CR/IR-1 case complete from NVC,-- interview phase.

If mail : how many days will u be able to receive it ?

Thank u.

NVC will schedule an interview for you.

For the interview, I suggest bringing a copy of everything you've ever submitted to USCIS and NVC. This is for those just in case moments. What's required: passport, interview letter, medical results (if panel physician doesn't forward them for you), passport photos. Proof of relationship is between required and optional, varies by consulate/embassy. Still a very good idea to bring.

Their questions will vary by country. I suggest you check out this link and review all the questions: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Consular_Interview_Questions

Returning of the passport varies by country. I believe for the Philippines, it's mailed back by courier. You'll need to look for this information in the regional forums, not here.

Well I just started my New job yesterday and direct deposit won't be in this first paycheck. But I forgot I have another account (like :bonk: and when my payroll check comes in the mail (man its been forever since I have got a paper check). I can deposit it and izzy pizzy pay online. Figure by that time case should arrive and case Number filed.

See I love thinking outloud with ya'll. Second day of work down.:D Still smilin.

Yes, to send AOS and DS-230 in at the same time and be done with it...instead of supplying everything in pieces. I love ya'll and everything, but I still have 13,000 worth of tornado repairs to be completed before my hubby comes home! LOL...I'm thankful! Still have a partial roof over my head!
