so I'm looking at the list of things that are needed in the NVC package vs. things that my husband needs to take to the interview. I'm seeing some cross over there and wondering why he needs to bring these things to the interview if the embassy already has them? Things like his original or certified birth certificate. I have one that is translated that I'm sending with his IV package.. but he's going to need another one for his interview? as well as the I-864 and my tax transcripts. He needs to bring those as well? just a little confused. Any help is appreciate.

Preparing my AOS Packet while i wait for a Case Number...so far I have the following planned:

COVER LETTER

FORM(S)

- I-864, Affidavit of Support

SUPPORTING DOCUMENT(S)

- COPIES of W-2s (2011, 2010, 2009)

- COPIES of IRS Tax Transcripts (2011, 2010, 2009)

- ORIGINAL Employment Verification Letter from Employer

- COPIES of Pay stubs for current year

I don't need a joint sponsor. Am I missing anything?

Unless you filed your taxes jointly and need to show just your own income, the W2s aren't needed if you're sending in tax transcripts.

Everything else looks good though good.gif

You don't need to bring the birth certificate or the forms to the interview (although bringing a copy is always a good idea). The original/certified copy has to be sent to NVC, just like the original AOS package.

I was gonna say what Saylin said, of course she told me! If you have your tax transcripts no W2s necessary! See Saylin, we do learn. :)

I know hon, I guess that came out the wrong way! sorry...

I meant to say, look what I learned teacher! Smile and be proud.

It's been a rough day. Extra forum-ing and extra calling the NVC. I was just really hoping today would be the day, I know you all know how that feels. But it's still too soon to *expect* a case number, OR get discouraged! :)

Congrats to all the cases that have made progress!

My wife called the NVC Monday night Eastern Standard Time, and apparently our visa application was approved on July 2 and forwarded to the Stockholm embassy. :)

Does that mean we have a case complete?

I guess what I do now is wait for the embassy to contact me and then I schedule an appointment with one of the panel physicians?

I need to update my timeline. :P I'm gonna get right on that.
