I have a question about the photos, can I use the same photos that I used for the i-130 since they were taken in February? Has anyone done that? And how do you go about sending those for electronic processing? Just scan them?

The photos have to be taken within the last 6 months. If they were taken in February, you have one month left to use them as they'll "expire" in August.

If you want to know how to scan them, click on my wiki in my signature, and go to the "Scanning" portion. I explain how I scanned my passport photos.

Ok, just want to make sure....

AOS and Package IV were both filed online per Saylin's marvelous Montreal guide :D So now, I just call those "special" people at NVC daily to find out if/when case is complete? Or will they let me know??

Yup, just call those lovely people at NVC. It'll most likely be the faster way to know of a case complete. Those that do EP do get a case complete email, but it can be delayed. Mine took a day to arrive, and there have been cases waiting up to a week to receive theirs. That's why it's recommended to call NVC if you want to know right away.

hello again, im still waiting for my interview letter, will NVC email us? or we have to call them?

Yup, NVC will email you the interview letter.

By the way: during the NVC process, you do NOT have to call them once. You can do the entire NVC process without calling them as they will send you correspondence. But this is the slower way of doing things :P

Hello everyone :)

I am just new with this forum.

May i ask:

How to make an expedite request to NVC?

Where to address??

I got our case # & invoice no ID. From NVC, gave our email add. (me & my wife) to NVC. Yet it has been 1week, there are still no notifications if what's next...

Do We need to wait for NVC's notification before sending the DS -3032 choice of agent of my wife??

Actually my wife followed some advices here in visa journey, & send her DS3032 already even without notification from NVC& receive an auto response, but how will we know that it is accepted ???

We are waiting that my AOS will be generated. How long does it takes??

I've been calling NVC everyother day, speaking with some operator, can they tell us if our AOS or packet IV is already generated?

Coz so far all they are always saying to us is " just wait for an email" :(

If you want to make an expedite request, call up NVC and ask them. The operators will tell you what you have to do and the address to send it to.

You don't need notification from NVC to send the DS-3032. If you have your case number and given over your email addresses, you're good to go. You'll know it's accepted if they email you back with an acceptance, or ultimately: if the IV bill is invoiced (no IV bill until DS-3032 acceptance).

It typically takes a few days after case number is assigned for the AOS to be invoiced.

Yes I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that one was not available. They took my number to have one call me back which is a joke. No call and still can't pay my aos or send in any info. Soooooo frustrated.

I say try calling them again and requesting for a supervisor. There has to be one at some point in the day...

I'd call, that's the fastest way to find out any updates on your case. :)

After the excruciating wait for my noa2 I thought the worst was over. Never did I imagine it would be waiting to pay money for my aos that would be harder. I don't understand how I got my case numbers on June 22nd the I am still not able to pay any bills or send them any info. Ive called and called and they keep telling me "10 to 15 business days". Seriously? That is just not true. Most people on this site get going two days after case number is available. Is anyone else having this problem? :bonk:

..don't tell me that! I will go crazy! Haha. I like Saylin's idea of asking for a supervisor!

Thanks Saylin! I will definitely check that out! My question was about the requirements, if they were the same for both photos, but of course I can look up the requirements for each one and see if they're the same.:bonk:

NVC received the I-130 on July 2nd. Still waiting for a case number...

Me too! Race you to it! JK I will be perfectly content with us getting case numbers the same day, today would be preferable :)

Our timelines look really similar, in fact! Hopefully we'll get our case numbers around the same time. I just got a bit excited because the guy on the phone asked me for the petitioner and beneficiary information, only to tell me it had arrived and they were still inputting it into the system. First time I'd been asked for petitioner and beneficiary information... Hm. Got my hopes up! Maybe tomorrow, I guess.

Hi,

I was informed when calling the NVC on the friday, July 6th that the NVC case has been completed. Yet just now received a email with a checklist, asking for the police clearance certificate, even though the interview will be in Mumbai, India where have confirmed many times with different NVC agents that it is ok to bring this document at interview time.

Any suggestions on handling this?

Yeah that is different! Hopefully we'll get our case #s ASAP! I'll be praying for you!

False alarm! Just confirmed that NVC case is complete and this checklist just clarifies the need to bring it to the Mumbai interview.

Freaked out and panicked for 20 min while waiting for a agent on phone!

Congrats!
