Nigerian VJ Members, please, what is the long form birth certificate? Mine was lost when i was young and i had to do a birth attestation at the National population office in Surulere. Is this accepted at the NVC?

I would address this questions to the http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/89-africa-sub-saharan/ forum since it is country specific.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

Please Please put your VJ member name only. Not nicknames or real names whatever your VJ name is. It's below your profile picture!!

Sorry to yell. LOLrose.gif

Don't be yelling at me! you hurt my feelings.... :crying:

  Are you sure? YOU better check that again. I belive you sign page 2 (it is PART 1, but page 2 of the four sheets) and you do NOT sign page 4 (which is Part 2). PartII Page 4 is what you sign in front of CO.

You have to sign Part - I (page # 2 has signature box to sign part - I on DS-230) and leave Part-II unsigned (page # 4). Hope it's clear now :)

Make sure all fields are filled correctly on DS-230 Part - I and II.

My spouse signed extra forms that she sent to me. Should I just hand write it and send it to them?

I also had my wife extra blank DS-230 forms signed but I did not get checklist, so they are unused :)

I don't think NVC has a requirement to have DS-230 in printed format only. So writing it down with a pen should be fine. Just make sure you are using the same colored pen to avoid any doubts in NVC officers mind.

Did you see my post about my "account transcripts, NOT my tax transcripts!" Holy Moses...scared me to death to think I could have already sent these off! I've now ordered the right thing so we may be sending in our paperwork at the same time for sure. I've got the wait on the right transcripts!

I am so excited. Just got 2011 Transcript (just ordered last week ) and it is addressed to my full name & husbands full name our address. So excited we are so official now. Don't you love evidence.what's interesting is I filed Jointly (meant to file separate since I had no SS# or ITN) well gosh if they didn't process. I guess since I wasn't getting a refund nor paying its ll good. Phew.shocked.gif

YEAH!!! Well it would have been great for them to throw a little money your way! Seeing how you could use plenty of it at any time during this process! CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!

Just checked the USPS tracking site, and our IV and I-864 packets were delivered today, so that is good news.

I am pretty certain I'll get an RFE though. For the 'copy of bio page of valid passport' I only sent the photocopy of the one bio page w/photo. But it seems that meant I needed to send a copy of the entire passport. (I am making a lot of dumb mistakes in this part of the process.) So I think I will ask my husband to go ahead and copy his whole passport and mail it ASAP, so we can get it to them. I understand you can do this even if you haven't yet received an RFE?

Good luck to everyone out there, and be more careful than I have been! It will save you time and sanity.

This is what I wrote up and used: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lNEm0btviWXw89jNWv0fh1sgPpo8-f2DpVXdv3SFWss/edit Just change the information to your situation :)

No no no, you're ONLY supposed to send the beneficiary's bio-data page of their passport. Not the entire passport! You did it correctly!!
