I-130 expedited? and how long before interview

hello fellow VJers ,

My I-130 petition was approved in 2.5 months, or exactly 75 days. Is this normal or did USCIS somehow expedite my case?

and Im at the point of submitting my AOS/IV packets , when should my wife expect an interview?

It is quick but USCIS isn't going to expedite your case unless you ask them too. Because they are not motivated to put you ahead of everyone else unless you have a compelling reason.

What consulate will the interview take place in?

If not requested no expedite. You just got extreme;y blessed is all. Interview date is all dependent on you country and the availability. Most get a interview about 1 to 2 months out. Some like you heck you may get an interview 2 weeks after case complete. You are on a roll. But really who knows.

You already got your case number and IIN number? How long did that take you to get?

hey well let me tell you i was sooo excited after i got the 2.5 month approval but heres the killer....

CSC took 2 entire months to send it to the nvc, almost as much as the approval time

it got to the nvc and about 10 days later i got case number, within 1 week i was able to pay both fees and now both packets will be sent out , just waiting on irs transcripts.

so overall not too bad , they just messed things up sending my petition to the NVC

im thinking 1 month and my case will be complete hopefully

God i miss my wife
