I am 30 years old, I was born in the U.S. I am a U.S. citizen. I traveled to the Philippines for school in 2000, where I met my son's mother. I had to suddenly return to the U.S. without them due to a psychiatric illness. I have no contact with their family whatsoever they live in such a rural area and I don't think they are trying to contact me. When I talked to my son's grandma this was before I left, she mentioned something about sending my son back to the U.S. to live with me. I really need help in solving this and getting my son here. Thanks.

If you meet the physical requirements, your son should have derivative citizenship through you. You should file a consular report of birth abraod to acquire his citizenship. No other way to get him to the US - there is no visa for him as he has claims to US citizenship

However, you will need authorization from the child's mother for him to move to the US
