I guess it's cool when your a$$ is on the line to ring us up for help. When everything settles down then we're just a bunch of savages.

Savages? Let me fill you in a little on the Brits. The women over there didn't learn what a razor was until years after our gals used them regularly. As far as bathing goes the Brits were lucky to shower/bathe more than once or twice a week at most. The first thing that hit me in London was the aroma of the people there. I'm sure things have changed there since then (70's) but there was a noticeable difference at the time.

After all the German bombs dropped on their heads we wouldn't feel proper like without at least tossing those poor Brit lasses a bit of chocolate first.

Then the Russians beat the Germans at Stalingrad where 2 million died and rolled them right back to Germany and the Russians took Berlin

20 Million Russians died

The USA came in late as usual and had a few skirmishes in the Ardennes after which they had to ask the Russians nicely for a piece of Berlin

North Africa. Sicily. Italy. Plus the Pacific mess. etc. etc. Plus all the supplies, equipment etc. I'll give the BEF this, they did a stunning job at Dunkirk.

"Lend - Lease Act" and "US convoys to USSR". It was US supplies not to mention that the Russians wouldn't have stopped with Germany. They would have kept heading West until they hit the Atlantic and after awhile they would have figured out a way to cross the channel and introduce the Brits to Bolshevism Stalin style.

We saved your arses more than once. The Europeans start the wars, and us Yanks finish them.
