Hi, we do not have 401k or life insurance, or Power of attorney. We both have our health insurance through work. Is that okay?

We have, however, here:

Photo copy of Green card front & back

Joint checking account

Sample check

Bank cards

Joint account open sheet

Joint tax return

Joint Cars Title & registration

Joint Cars Insurance

Quit Claim Deed (I quit claimed to her, but my name is on the mortgage)

Driver License showing both lives in the same address

Joint Utilities

Power

Gas

CenturyLink

oct 2010 to present - oct is the date that I got 2 years green card. So without the 401k, etc. is that okay?

I think it looks just fine. About 2 years of coverage is good.

Now if it's possible, get some sworn affidavits and pictures if you have them. Usually those would help.

And the most important? Cross your finger that you won't get an RFE and it'll be a smoooooooth sail.

So based of the evidence that I provided is still not enough you think? that's why you suggested to have affidavits and photos? I heard those only needed if the evidence is not enough. Please advice.

Give them as much as you can. I am not an IO I have no idea but honestly if the IO thinks it's not good enough then a RFE is going to make your ROC journey a living hell.

For a quit Claim deed, since I am trying to get onto the deed for the house only my husband's name is on, wouldn't it remove my husband's name and just keep mine? I've been looking up information as to what exactly it entails, but nothing is ever straight forward, and I had a feeling asking you for help may help me instead!

I think your package will work out. It looks good to me from what I've seen in examples! If you haven't sent it yet, and you're having any doubt you could also order the tax transcripts, rather than the returns that were prepared, it shows more that the IRS received your taxes. But I believe either one will work. Good luck with everything, I'm already scared and I still have months before I can file!

Yes, we will be using tax transcript -

For the quit claim deed - I asked the title company to make it say my name and my wife's name, as husband and wife, blah blah... my deed used to say "sole and separate property."

You should have a deed that says "sole and separate property" so ask the title company to have it changed and say, husband and wife, whichever works for you. The title agent told me you can pretty much say anything on there as you wish. I would suggest get a hold of your title company and see what they say.

When the name of you two are on it, that means, when your husband tries to sell the home or anything, it will require both signatures yours and his.

You have good evidence. You do not need affidavits (they are only required if you have very less financial and residential proofs).

I would also suggest including Health insurance together (if you have). And life insurance and beneficiaries. If any of you have any investment plans then include that with beneficiary as each other.

Thank you for the help on quit claim deeds. I will pull out our home mortgage and find out who our title company is with, and get my husband to call them.
