Hello all,

Starting to prepare the AOS documents (concurrent filing of I-485, I-864, I-131, I-765, G-325A) and am a bit confused on proper form coding on Form I-765, question 16. The forum's guide instructions say to insert "( c ) ( 9 )" , yet it seems that "( a ) ( 6 )" may also be appropriate? Am I barking up the wrong tree, over-thinking it? Just do what the guide say? Obviously, I don't understand the consequences of inserting either code. Advice (or a dope slap  ) from some veteran forum members would be much appreciated.

Follow-up: I need a :bonk: . I did a forum Google search and ( c ) ( 9 ) is the code to use for K-1/K-2. I had a momentary brain cramp......TIA

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

It is (c )(9 ) based on a pending I-485 (K-1 or not), which is the code you use when sending with your I-485 and the fee is waived.

It is (a )(6 ) if filing before you file for AOS and paying the $380 fee, which you already know is a waste.

Just wanted to list WHY the codes are what they are for you and anyone else that might read this.
