Its better send email the embassy about it, they will reply you back, some says they wont reply you back some says takes a while before they reply, but from my experience i sent them and email about misspelled of my visa. they reply me back less than 24 hours. i called the call center they can't give you a assurance answer. i called them more than 10 times for 1 day but its still no assurance. The call center advice me sot send back the passport back using the 22g1. i didn't check my email because some member here advice me better to send it back to fix it early i did that. after i got home USEM reply me that its not big deal and told me i don't have to send it back. but its too late. i already miss my flight because of the call center. So try to send them an email now.

Good=luck hope everything went well. i know stinksno0pb.gif

Just go to the branch where it is paid and look for the BPI personnel who process the payment, it can be correct as long as you have your receipt, and if she won't process and tells you to call the customer support look for the branch manager and complain directly.

Remember that we are talking about the Philippines, rules and procedures change daily. They will tell you all day long they can't do it when they probably can. This also varies and changes from person to person as well.

If it were me I would spend hours if I had to at BPi until they resolved it. If they didn't and I finally came to the conclusion that they absolutely couldnt do anything, I would just pay again and after receipt in hand I would complain like hell. Then try to get the return fee's from the embassy.

Yes I know. I would probably do it like that. I would have complain and make them know that they should do something about it because it is their fault. But i'm the petitioner and i'm here in the US. And My fiance doesn't really deal with things that way.. That's why when he came to BPI and were told that he needs to call the embassy because its not something they could fix he just calmly left and had done what he was told to do. Sigh.

Reality its just a RECEIPT number, does not need to match the passport... its a RECEIPT number, that just happens most times to be the passport number, as long as you enter it the same online to schedule the interview and its accepted you are fine. Only on the forms/documentation you complete for the visa do you need to make sure the passport number is correct.

Is there an "XX" at the beginning of the number? If so make sure to include them also, and they need to be in CAPS.

I'm a little late now, but a similar problem occurred to my fiancee, only the online booking system had messed up her passport number. We got the same information Hank gave you. Everything worked out fine. It is really frustrating how people will not fix their mistakes in the Philippines and our partners there just seem to accept it. I've learned to accept it while I'm there to. My wife was really surprised when a necklace I bought her broke right away and I exchanged it with no questions asked and a sorry that happened to you. And it wasn't even at the same branch of the store. Back in the Philippines, only the same branch would have talked with you and they would have blamed you for breaking the defective product. You rarely have any recourse to correct things in the Philippines, they just don't seem to have the protections we do in the USA, and apparently do not care about keeping customers happy to get repeat business.

Embassy is closed for all US and Philippine Holidays so its possible you will have to wait an extra day. Most times it takes 24 hours for the payment to record at the embassy even though they state 4 hours, and with the 4th of July arriving its one more day of waiting.
