Republican governors are planning to ignore the Supreme Court's decision Thursday to uphold Obamacare hoping that the issue will drive voters to dump President Obama in favor of Mitt Romney who has vowed to kill the Affordable Care Act.

After the decision, the Republican Governors Association said that nothing should be done by the states until after the election, a clear signal that they believe a GOP president, House and Senate will kill the health care reform pushed through by Democrats and opposed by Republicans.

That seems logical. Ignore Congress and the Supreme Court in an effort to demonstrate what American democracy is all about.

Dear USA: please sort out your issues before my family returns. I love you, but whoa, you can be kinda scary.

Until then, I'll enjoy being able to take my son to the doctor when he's sick and walk out 30 minutes later with a reliable diagnosis and prescribed medication for less than $10 US, based on my and my employer's contribution to a reasonable nationalized system that works. And what's most sad is that they aren't feigning outrage because of their ideology. They're just angry that Obama has turned out to be an effective president and has brought many changes that he campaigned on. They were so dead set on framing Obama as a failure and all they've got left is empty and meaningless rhetoric.

"The Red Sox have suffered many setbacks over the years—the Babe Ruth trade, the ball through Buckner’s legs, the Bucky Dent home run…. Maybe the president should have congratulated the team for winning the World Series in 2004 and 2007. Instead, he chose to mock them for trading away one of its favorite players at a time when the team is struggling."

If only some of that energy spent on fake outrage and posturing could have been used constructively.

The legislature can repeal it. He can sign the repeal.

If Obama's the president, he will veto any such effort.

If Democrats (not counting Lieberman) retain 50%+ control of either the HoR or the Senate, no such bill will pass.

That's why it's vital this November to vote D for all federal offices.
