I've been dating with my gf since 2009 and decided to move together in her parents' house in July 2011 because we both didnt have a job yet to save some money.

Feburary 2012, we got married. and she become so abusive but only mentally and emotionally. She become a pshyco and demand me to obey her and tell her everything I do and I had to ask her for permission first.

I was at school and she didn't believe me and had me to do facetime so she knew i wasn't lying.

She's always threaten me to end the marriage and I got deport back.

after we get married, she didn't want to apply for AOS yet because she said that this is my weakness. Then, she would get control over me and listened to whatever she wants.

but by March 14th, I couldn't take it anymore, I moved out. And I'm filing the divorce the following week.

Do you think I qualify for VAWA?

we live in her parents' house, so we don't really have any bills under our names...but we have almost a thousands picture together, I hope it would of do something.

Interesting that I would come across your post since I just found this website www.immigrationfraudvictims.org and learned of VAWA. It sounds like you two are going through many problems that are typical of marriage. I pray that you can work through this difficult time and find the love that you once shared to help pull you through. Don't be so quick to give up.

When I moved out so it means we are legally separated. The very next day, she came to my new house screaming and yelling.

I called the police and by the time the police came, she was smart enough to leave.

But I do have my witness and a Police department case number.

Did you file a police report?

It is very hard to prove emotional abuse. Police report is helpful (go to the PD and give them case number, they should give you report). Get as many as possible statements from all witnesses. Also if you believe that you have some emotional problems, seek help and if your doctor believes that is from emotional abuse get report from him.

Sorry to hear what happens to you. VAWA is very complicated case and it takes LONG time and case lot of evidence. It won't be bad idea to get attorney.

You should save some money and find attorney in your area what is specialized in Immigration and VAWA law. Tell them your story and attorney will tell you if you can do it.

06/01/2011 Turn my passport in and started to report to BI twice a month in BI office, ones a month via phone and once a month they come to my home

They just asked me for my wife's full name and address.

The police didn't even bother to ask the witness
