Hi, guys.

Just a quick question: Has there ever been a case where an applicant is scheduled for a visa interview a few months before his or her priority date becomes current or is the interview really only scheduled if the priority date is current? Thanks in advance for the responses.

No. There is no reason to schedule an interview when 1) the US Embassy can't be sure if the applicant's PD will be current or not at the time of the interview, and 2) it's a complete waste of resource if the PD is not current at the at time of the interview because the US Embassy cannot grant a visa under any circumstances.

The PD must be current before the interview is scheduled.
