Well this is the deal with NVC. I am sure they got your case its just not logged in system. Meaning no case number for you yet. I have been reading there's quite the back log. You are a June NVC filer you need to be joining that thread to find out whats up and what to prepare for. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/370651-nvc-filers-june-2012/page__hl__nvc+june+filers

Be sure to read that first post it has a wealth of information for you okay. You will be fine its been 2 weeks you call everyday until you get your case number.

This is great information I also wasn't aware of! Yeah me...more to read while I'm waiting on paperwork to arrive! Thanks girl! As always...you're the best!

hey you know I am going to prowl around and get all the knowledge I can. I so wish though NVC would let everybody submit everything electronically. This back and forth and timing of this and that. I mean why cant all countries have police reports last a year so we can get these things in advance goodness. All these signed documents they know the mail sucks in most countries. Ughhh. Frustrating and I haven't even got to that point. My husband has a long-form birth certificate to get. I am sure all the vaccinations, police report, signed DS-230. And here I'm waiting for a blasted phone to get to him. No wa ooooooo!!headbonk.gifhelpsmilie.gif

USCIS did mailed us a piece of paper said they did make a mistake, will send us another NOA, and they said the case has been forwarded to NVC, that's all. Does my husband have to call them again to make them transfer my case?

If they said that, then he still needs to call and call and call, every few days, and get on someone's buttocks about getting the casefile OUT of USCIS and INTO NVC. It very well may be sitting in USCIS, alas.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Really? Are you seriously? You mean they won't do what exactly what they said? That scares me. We wrote to USCIS ask them if they sent the case out but no reply yet. My husband hates calling, because it's too hard to get inline. But I do think sending emails doesn't make any differences.

Yes, I am seriously. Good Luck. There may be some procedural error to overcome. In the end, he can ask for a service request to find the casefile, but I think that is too dramatic a step to take.

Instead, a Tier 2 human at USCIS call center can locate the casefile, without a service request. Since there was this prior problem, you really need casefile movement OUT of USCIS. You've no indication of that, yet.

IIRC, NVC will accept that stuff but he will need to show completed and filed return on document intake day in Guangzhou (the day before the IV appointment) ..
