This might be a silly question but I'm a little confused.. do ALL cases get transfered to CSC?? Or should mine go to the Vermont Service Center? I was under the assumption that it would go to the Vermont Service Center.. but everyone's case seems to be transferred to the CSC.. so just trying to clear it up...

I-485 AOS Filing (shortened timeline):

08/25/06 - WEDDING DAY <3

09/14/06 - Medical

09/18/06 - Mailed AOS

10/04/06 - RFE request I-485

10/11/06 - RFE response rec'd by USCIS

10/12/06 - BIOMETRICS done!

11/18/06 - Interview Notice in mail (Day 60)

12/26/06 - *TOUCH* I-765, EAD approval notice sent (Day 98)

12/29/06 - Received EAD, applied for SSN (Day 101)

No, all cases do not get transferred to the California Service Center. There is a lot of speculation about which ones will get transferred (straight forward applications, backlogged local offices, etc.) no one really knows for sure what the 'magic' rationale is for a transfer. Apply for your AOS according to the instructions. If the file is transferred to California, you will receive a notice; if you do not receive the notice, then the file is being processed in your local office and you will be notified about your interview.

Is this ONLY happening to those who entered on K1 visa ?

I entered on a K3 visa after being married to US Citizen husband in Canada.

We are about to file AOS in Texas Service Center. Any chance of the CSC, no interview approval with us or is it ONLY for K1'ers ? Our case should be straightforward with not much reason to suspect fraud because we were married since 1996 and have 3 kids and 10 years worth of records together !

How can we start some system to see which K visa entry types are being sent to CSC for fast AOS approval without interview ?

K3 APPROVED in Montreal, Canada on 03/03/2005

Moved to USA with K3 on 03/15/2005

I-130 / IR-1 Timeline

I-130 filed to TSC with NOA1 on 04/28/2004

I-130 transferred from TSC to CSC 10/22/2004

I-130 received at CSC 11/04/2004

I-130 APPROVED 12/02/2004

NOA2 received on 12/03/2004

Case transferred to NVC on 12/13/2004

Received DS-3032 and I864 Fee bill from NVC on 12/27/2004

Waiting to meet I-864 requirements

Contacted NVC for a new DS-3032 and I-864 fee bill on 10/17/2006

As far as I have seen on VJ they almost always go to CSC and seem to always be K-1ers ... I have seen one VJer who was transfered to VSC but in her case it was a military expedite as her husband is/was heading to iraq ...

If your case has been transfered to CSC, Calafornia service center. they you are likely to be approved without interview....

Watch out for your approval and greencard in a few weeks.....

Oh, my case has not been transferred yet at all, but I see that most people's cases get transferred to the CSC so I was wondering where mine would go. Also, I didn't come in on any K visa. I came in as a visitor and then married my husband and filed the AOS here. Guess it will go to Vermont or my local office in Baltimore :) Thanks guys!
