All, can someone apply for USA student visa while on Canadian student visa? Will they ask the person to go back to their home country for the visa interview?

12/16/2011 : I-130 Sent to USCIS

12/21/2011 : I-130 NOA1

05/14/2012 : I-130 NOA2

06/04/2012 : Received at NVC

06/13/2012 : Case number issued by NVC

06/13/2012 : DS-3032 Choice of Agent Email Sent to NVC

06/15/2012 : AOS Bill Issued

06/15/2012 : AOS Bill Paid

06/16/2012 :I-864 AOS package mailed to NVC

06/18/2012 :AOS Payment status: PAID

06/21/2012 - I-864 AOS package received by NVC

06/20/2012 - DS-3032 accepted

06/21/2012 - IV bill invoiced & paid in PROCESS

06/22/12 - IV bill shows PAID

06/21/12 - Mailed IV packet to NVC

06/25/12 - IV packet received @ NVC

06/28/2012- AOS packet Reviewed & Accepted

7/18/2012 - Case Complete at NVC

I believe that as long as you are legally in Canada you can have your student visa interview at the consulate in Canada.

1st you must be accepted into an American University

Citizenship

April 29, 2013 - NOA1 for petition received

September 10, 2013 Interview - decision could not be made.

April 15, 2014 APPROVED. Wait for oath ceremony

Waited...

September 29, 2015 - sent letter to senator.

October 16, 2015 - US Citizen
