Excellent post Hank, thank you. You didn't mention the part where you have to make a payment at a BPI bank before you can schedule the interview. You need to wait 24 hours after making the deposit to give it a chance to work through the system.

Mine took about 5 weeks to get a case number. Approved on May 24th, NVC Received and got the case number on June 27th. Some people got lucky and got theirs in about 2 weeks. The NVC is now asking people to wait 20 BUSINESS days. It seems that the California Service Center is taking the longest to actually send out the Visa's once they are approved.

Had that in there at one time must of deleted it by accident when "adjusting things"....

FIXXORED:

Once you have your MNL # you can take your passport, and required visa fee in Php, to BPI and pay your visa fee. The embassy website states that within 4 hours of paying at BPI you can schedule your interview appointment but most times it seems to take about 24 hours.

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number (normally).

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was accepted.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other for the embassy.

How long from your NOA2 date did you get your manila case number from the NVC?

I got my NOA2 on 31 May then the MNL case about a week later. The case was sent to Manila on 22 June. After calling the embassy to verify receipt of the case, they only confirmed receipt of the electronic file but not the physical file. I'll be calling again this evening to find out if they got it. I seriously hope that they get the file soon because I already scheduled my fiancee's interview for the 18th this month.

Just a follow up, after reading this thread we scheduled the interview with the case number provided by the NVC via a phone call. We have not received the Embassy/NVC letter yet. The Visa left the NVC on July 2nd on its way to Manila.

There were no problems paying for or scheduling the interview. We did it online and it was very straight forward, the process is well documented in this Forum. We did need to wait a full 24 hours after making the deposit to be able to schedule it though. We tried earlier and got a message saying they didn't have the receipt on file yet.

My Fiancee then went to the Medical with copies of the Appointment letter. On both days she went she was asked to show the NVC letter, when she told them she did not have it and they asked her if she was sure the case number was correct. They told her several times that they needed the letter but eventually they let it slide. The medical was approved Monday July 9th, 2012.
