We were approved the same day,but i got no touch:(,im waiting for my new case number from NVC now God

Removal of conditions

My case was approved on the 13th and it said the letter was sent. So why would I get another touch 4 days later(today)? Im sure its nothing, but just wondering if this is typical?

Your file is being moved from the service center pile to the going-to-the-nvc pile. That's probably why you saw a touch - it's normal.

There has been a delay of CSC- NOA2 approvals getting to NVC then the Embassy. We had seen many approved on Sept 20th like us, or later, and see NVC and even get Emabassy interview dates. Just yesterday I received an Email from NVC stating they now have us in the system But! they will notify when our petition gets sent to the Embassy.

Congrats on another big step!!! Be patient though :yes:

At the risk of sounding too much like a newby, can someone tell me what a touch is? I see the reference here but don't know what it is...

When you log on to the USCIS website and check your portfilio, there is a column that says 'last updated', if that date changes, but there is no official change in status, that is a touch. It just means someone pulled up your case file to review it, but no action has been taken. To get the actual status, click on your case number on that screen.

My case was approved on the 4th--but I didn't get a touch or any notification that day. I didn't find out we were approved until I got a letter in the mail on the 16th. But on the website I did have a touch on the 5th and 7th, after the approval I wasn't aware of. No touch on the 4th. So who knows what's normal, but I wouldn't worry about it.

NOA1: April 6, 2006

IMBRA RFE: July 17, 2006

RFE #2: September 25, 2006

OMG a touch!: October 5, 2006

another touch!: October 7, 2006

hey, back up a minute...

APPROVED!!! October 4, 2006, received letter October 16, 2006
