Hi, to all

recently I got gc and ss card from family based visa f4, stayed at nj for 2 moths and came back to

home country as my work as medical man (anesthesiolost) at 56 yrs of age does not give me jobs in usa as

to many examinations to pass.(usmle);) at this age.

my family has adopted usa and i wish to keep gc as son/ daughteer and wife would wish me to visit them

now and then. can i stay out of usa for more than 10 months and make a visit once a yrs to keep the

gc valid. without the reentry process done. or opt for visitors visa process.

Even with the reentry permit, lot of questions was asked regarding the intent to maintain the green card. So, it think it might be difficult. It is better to opt for Visitor's visa.:unsure:

As u got ur visa under the F4 category, u can join the post mentioned in the below signature and help all the future F4 filers with regard to the documentation and the Preparation for the Visa Interview...:yes:

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

The process for visitors visa would call for sponsors papers and to go through the whole process again.a reentry permit would be better? thanks for the second suggestion i will try to do what i can.
