In the next few days I'll be sending my fiancee all the supporting documents and everything she needs for her interview. I'll be using DHL because I've had a few bad experiences with the regular post. Anyone have any experience with DHL? How quick are they? It's gotta be faster than the regular post.

After a terrible experience with FedEx slowness, we always used UPS. They did fine and definitely more affordable than DHL. Deliveries still took up to a week with Customs in Moscow being the biggest hang up.

I always used FedEx and had good luck.

Got some documents FROM Russia last week DHL and it took about 5 days. When my wife was my fiancee, I sent a few times using DHL. Back then they guaranteed 4 or 5 day delivery, but both times it took over a week. Good news was when I called and complained and asked about their "guarantee" they sent me my money back! Both times! That was 7 or 8 years ago so things may have changed.

USPS Global Express worked fine for me. It was less than 1/2 the price of those other carriers.

We've tried the gambit. UPS seems to have better routing in the South of Russia. USPS does get there but it's frustratingly slow at times. Fed Ex and DHL are better wired in the larger cities. Good service from those locations. As reference..UPS from Krasnodar and Novorossiysk were on time until they got lost at MY address in the States! Go figure. I hammered them pretty hard on that snafu! There are no UPS offices in Gelendzhik or Anapa. UPS will make the delivery from the two larger cities mentioned in most areas of Southern Russia. I did not check Sochi but with the Olympics in 2014 there I'd be surprised if there is no coverage for all three of the shippers. UPS $80 for Documents to Western Washington. They better be worth the cost! The I-864 package I send out to my Wife is going USPS. Average about 3 weeks through them.

We used UPS 3 day air it always arrived in about 5 no problems. Never send USPS or it will take months, I have a friend that used DHL and had great results also, and another that used Fed Ex but theres was delayed.

FedEx must have been using Tom Hanks on that delivery! Sorry..I just couldn't resist poking a jab at Fred Smith's outfit (FedEx). We agree that USPS is about as slow as can be. Cheaper..but don't be in a hurry. Better mail New Years and Christmas gifts by Labor Day if you expect them to be there (or in the States) before January if using USPS. We'd use DHL if available over UPS but we're stuck with "Brown" or super snail mail.

Yeah every time I used USPS it took about a month. I went with UPS and it was less than a week. It was expensive, but I like that I could track it all around the world and it did arrive in time.

I can tell you that we sent some important documents to Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia last Friday using DHL. They arrived today.

Took 5 days and trackable the whole way.
