I am just reading the forms for the I-131 Travel Documentation to apply for Advanced Parol, and as usual it requires two three quatre frontal pictures. However this time it states:

NOTE: Digital photos are not accaptable.

Is it now the case that they will not accapet digital photos? And if this is the case, then they would have no way of telling the difference between a digital and film photo if printed professionally anyway!

Any thoughts!

Thanks,

James

I understand what you are saying and if you went to a professional they could make the photo where the USCIS could never tell.

I am sure the reason they say that is that they were tired of getting home digital phots chopped up in power point and stretched to the right size. They have standards and for about 10 bucks or less you can make them happy and move on

Since we needed about 8 or 10 photos, we went to Kinkos and had them done professionally (2), scanned into our computer using a high quality scanner, and then printed through snapfish. So far, no problems.

James,

You should be more concerned about the "three quatre frontal" part - not only incorrect spelling, but also incorrect, out of date information.

I did the same to save costs, and have had no problems. I have a good enough quality printer that I could not visually tell the difference between the originals and the digitally printed out ones.

Note that the originals were taken on a digital camera as well! I don't know what USCIS are not allowing, perhaps they're saying you can't attach a CD with the photos. ;)
