1 month and 5 days no case number

Is it normal to wait more than a month for the nvc to give a case number? The first time we called they said they did not have it, and to send them a scanned copy of the NOA2 to their email address. I sent 3 emails overall to NVCResearch@state.gov and NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. I get no response either from this.

I read other people say to ready myself that it might take a month for NVC to give a number, but in this case it has been more than a month. How much longer do we have to wait? I am holding my patience here because I honestly thought waiting for the NOA2 was the worst part of the fiancee visa process.

I'm almost one month in and no number. Depends on if you mean 30 working days or one calendar month. I hear its talking up to a month for it to be received and another 10-15 working days to get in the system. Thats what I wastold when I called the NVC. Hope you hear soon but know you are not alone.

I read that someone here asked/e-mailed the US Embassy in Manila and just used her USCIS receipt number and they sent her an e-mail with her case number. Just search for that topic and ask her about it.

01-26-12 - Sent the I-129f to TX

02-02-12 - NOA1

06-19-12 - NOA2

08-13-12 - Approved!

11-02-12 - Filed for AOS

11-07-12 - NOA1

12-03-12 - Biometrics

Hello guys thank you for your response especially nealxette. My fiancee called the NVC today and he told me they were very rude to him, he is usually the type

who is almost insensitive in terms of rude/polite stuff but that nvc operator mustve really gotten to him.

Anyway he was given our case number it is 10 digits, he was given the numbers only not the usual MNL + 10 digits (isn't that a bit of an informal way of giving it?).

I have no idea how to verify this number, there isn't anything online. It seems it is not the same like in USCIS where you can put the number they give you on and you can check your status.. :(

Anyway I would really really appreciate it if anyone can tell me that I can use this number to set my interview date? MY NOA2 is going to expire on September and I am worried that they would give me an interview date after my NOA2's expiry date.

fast update i called nvc today to verify if the number was right (case number) i was very nervous cause i waited for like 15 minutes on hold and i began thinking the operator must be rude and im scared argghh! :crying:

anyway when the operator answered it wasnt that bad (my lucky day...) she said my number was correct but i have to wait a few weeks-no timeframe for when they are going to input the number on their system..

then she said they are gonna mail it to the embassy here in my country and i can set my interview date..

she also said there is no way i can verify this not even online, the only way is through calling them..(oh no!)

i will just wait a few days and call again, i will schedule calls 1-2x every week..

K-1 visas have a very different process at NVC than the spouse or family visas. So, its hard to compare timelines. I finally got my new case number a week ago and am now waiting for the invoice to pay my fees at the nVC and file DS 230. Already sent DS3032 but haven't heard if it was accepted. I thought thungs were supposed to speed up after you received your new case number and invoice number but NO! Trying to have payience like everyone else! :-) at least we get to spend the month with our little girl since we are visiting right now. but its going to be so hard to leave her this time since I'm sure we will not be assigned an interview this month.

We received our NOA2 on June 5 and NVC is still not showing us in their system yet
