Telling someone those things aren't needed for London is 1) ridiculous, and 2) VERY irresponsible. While it's true, they probably won't look at them, why wouldn't you have them with you, when it clearly states they may ask to see them?

So sick of people making blanket statements like that. I mean, some poor person might read that, actually NOT bring any evidence of relationship to the interview. Imagine their surprise if they get asked for it!

So no offense, but if you have nothing useful at all to add, please don't add stupid things like that. Seriously.

And someone whose beneficiary is from the Philippines telling me that I'm adding stupid things is irresponsible. How about you take a read of the UK forum thread on how to prepare for the London interview if you're so interested? http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/

I'll take the word over those who have been through London over someone who hasn't.

And to the contrary, my earlier comment was useful in helping the OP avoid worrying about having to save every bit of chat logs, screenshots, etc. when it's not needed for the interview.

I'm inclined to agree. None of that needed and the questions were ridiculously easy. It seems to be if you show up, you're good. It's not like there's such a drastic difference in the living conditions between the UK & the US.

I think that is a little harsh. Seriously if some poor person didn't take responsibility and find out for themselves then it's their fault and they must not want this bad enough. Sorry if that is offensive, but its true. I would love for Ian to get on a plane and just come over and never leave, but if we are going to follow the rules we are going to know what we MUST do. While Ian and I have just filed and this was our first post on VJ, we have been lurkers for a while. Anyway, my point is be nice and just for the record, you cant say no offense then call what they were saying stupid.. it is offensive and you can't apologize in advance cause that doesn't count! :)

London provides a list of things to bring to the interview on their embassy website. If they wanted relationship documentation, that would be on the list. It is not. Perhaps it's because our countries share a language and our people can hop a plane to visit back and forth easily on VWP. Most don't get engaged on the same trip where they meet in person for the first time. There are not loads of websites where British women post their photo to find an American husband who will be expected to send money back to the family abroad. We have a similar economy and lifestyle so maybe the fraud level is extremely low.

I'm a person who tells people no evidence of relationship is needed in London. I do it because not only have I been to a K1 interview, I have studied London experiences daily for about 1550 days now. I've kept up with four years of small procedural changes at the embassy. I've seen all the little hiccups people do have, but never have known even one, out of many hundreds, who was asked to provide relationship evidence. So I don't really consider myself irresponsible or stupid when I share my London knowledge.
