hey thanks everyone, I had my biometrics taken on may 22... so it's been a little over a month tho I guess cuz I had two RFE's the last one was really dumb haha so I guess that delayed my processed for a couple of weeks!!

does anyone know if it has anything to do with what city you live in how fast your card comes? I live in Pittsburgh just 5 minutes outside of the city.

this was the email I got...

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On June 26, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

wow you went for walk in biometrics? no issues with walk in?

If there is an issue they would just simply refused to let you in, not a big deal

Oh thanks!! I do have a SSN already!! that was the first thing I got after I got married so I could get my driver's license and bank accounts... I've seen posts before about people applying for socials after they get the work card... I don't get how that works for other people but I came here with a K1 visa and the social was the first thing I got after getting married... the only thing tho is that my SSN says NOT ALLOWED TO WORK WITHOUT DHS AUTHORIZATION so good thing I finally get to have that EAD thing!!
