Bless your heart.

Of course, they will tell you they will help you; that's their job. However, there are guidelines for USCIS. Unless you're outside of the timelines established, the congressman call will fall in deaf ears. NVC will keep your file until they're able to find an interview date for you.

Good luck

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

Good Luck!

I hope it helps.

I know some people get through NVC in less than 13 days. How long have you been at NVC?

I know you have a lawyer and they tend to slow things down so try and be proactive and bother him and NVC till you have your case numbers and pay the fees and send off the forms.

That will expedite your process more quickly then waiting for the congressman to expedite it

Also you can call NVC and request an expedite based on your pregnancy. Alot of people have tried...some have succeeded.

And I want to know how your friend who got married the same day as you got his interview waived? Did you find that out yet?

God Bless

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

Thank you so much! and i know the lawyers screwed up some of our paper work so we have had to wait a lot longer than expected on some of the things to be fixed. I am going to do that for sure it sounds like a good idea, i have called once but had issues trying to figure out exactly what section to put it under when they asked me i was baffled. I havent i emailed her today and waiting for her to respond back but ill be sure to let you all know!

Bless your heart.

one post berating the op removed, along with one quoting.

be advised that the info contained within the op isn't news to the vj community and as stated by several posters already, unless it's outside the normal processing time it probably won't speed up one's process.

A lot of people here in the Visa Journey tried that, but sometimes the Congressman calling USCIS is not enough. Good luck.

You should join us in the MENA (Middle East North Africa) forum. There are many members who have husbands from Egypt and would be able to help you prepare your husband for an interview in Cairo. :)
