Would anyone care to weigh in as to the new immigration policy? I wonder how this influx of new petitions will affect the adjuticators' workload?...USCIS has 60 days to come up with a plan to implement this....Do they take priority over current applications?

Good question.

There are no metrics in place today, so chances are you will not be able to tell the difference, for there is nothing for comparison.

what new immigration policy?

All children (ages 16-30) of undocumented workers who were brought in illegally by their parents are being given a temporary 2 year EAD. USCIS has 60 days, as of June 15th, to come up with procedures to handle these cases. Now, if there are 11 million "illegals" with children, that could be a lot of petitions...

Just my opinion, but I suspect many will not apply. They would potentially be setting themselves up for deportation if Romney is elected.

it scared me so much, i've been finishing up the I-130 pile, sending it off this week. I pray the adjudicators not get shifted after those 60 days, and instead, USCIS hires temp adjudicators just for that other queue.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

They may have shifted already. There is a real slow down on the I-129F. They only anounced the influx was large so the receive receipts will take a while. No explanation on approvals taking longer. No explanation of focusing efforts other places.
