Does anyone have an August interview scheduled at Montreal Consulate? I am really hoping to get mine in August. I spoke to a representative at NVC on Friday, June 15th and she informed me that they were just finishing scheduling the July interviews - she said they only schedule interviews the first two weeks of each month - I'm assuming she meant that between June 1 - 15 the NVC were scheduling interviews for all of July. I'm hoping this means that between July 1 - 15 they will be scheduling interviews for August... keeping my fingers crossed.

The NVC chick has no idea what she's talking about.

Our interview was scheduled on the third week of April for a June interview. They will schedule interviews all month long. Just keep calling to see when they have a date for you. Look at timelines that are about the same as yours and it will give you an idea of when you will get an interview assigned. It takes about three weeks from Case complete to when they assign and interview date. You have a very good chance of getting an August date.

We got our packet 4 early June. We looked at interview dates at that time. There was one day left ion June (28th) and a handful in July. July dates were pretty well gone by the 10th of June. There were still many in August and we took the 28th. September dates were available as well. My advise is to get on as soon as possible, as would expect August to be full by JUly 10th.

CR-1 visas do not schedule their own interviews, they are at the mercy of NVC as to when an interview is scheduled.

I called the NVC last night and was told that it takes 20 days from the time they received my document they were waiting for (my marriage certificate) before they look at it.... grrrrr..... I hope they look at it before then!! Should I call them again the beginning of next week? I know they received it on Mon., June 25th as I tracked it through Canada Post. They already have all my other documents - they were only waiting for my marriage certificate. Do you know if NVC schedules my interview at the Montreal Consulate or does Montreal actually schedule it?

I'd call today, if it isn't there, then call Monday. They don't wait 20 days. That's a canned answer they give everyone.

NVC schedules your interview.
