Follow up to Medical and DUI

My Fiancee went for her medical last week in Toronto. All went smoothly as described in previous VS entries. She had to follow up with a couple of vacinations and write an essay on her (more than 2 year old) DUI. After review (of essay and DUI history) with her General Practitioner, all that would be presented to the Toronto Dr. before final approval. Problem is that her last blood work shows a "CBC" (liver toxin) level that is above the immigration level...but her Dr. had never said anything as not above normal level. She is a average drinker. Now will go cold turkey for 6 weeks before next blood work. Has anyone heard of these tolerance levels before? This is a little weird.

Your liver enzymes can be high for a lot of reasons, although alcohol is certainly one of them. Is she overweight by chance? That's usually one of the biggest reasons. It can also be a symptom of hepatitis, and I *believe* that requires a waiver if she has it.

5' 1" and 110 lbs. Very atheletic. We have seen each other 60+ time in the last 3 years. Pretty sure it is indulgence....and I am not a Saint.

I suspect that she we are not the first on VJ to encounter this....but maybe so...and have no idea as to the rules.
