Hi there...my friend is here in the US with her standard 10y visa. She has only been here 3 weeks, but decided to not fly back on her originally scheduled flight. She plans on leaving prior to 90days though. This upcoming weekend, we would like to fly to another state.

At this point she has NOT overstayed her visa, but she currently does not have ticket back to her country. She was waiting a few weeks to buy as she wants to travel around more.

Could you see there being any problems at the airport?

Thanks!

Unless your statements are contradictory, my understanding is that she has a return ticket she is not planning to use as booked, originally. Just as a suggestion, have her speak to the airline for sometimes they will allow for her to rebook her ticket for a fee which might be a lesser amount than buying a new ticket altogether. She needs to speak to them prior to the date on which her return flight was scheduled.
