Since my hubby's visa was CR-1, I'm not sure about your visa bill. But, I believe you need to take receipt of the payment. Someone else should be able to confirm it for you.

Both my husband and I copied all pages of our passports including the front and back covers just to cover ourselves!

Good Luck!

I took a credit card bill but they didn't look at it.

I didn't take a photocopy of my passport either - i just noted down my passport number - just in case I needed it for some reason.

They took the passport off me at the interview

yep, you need the visa bill to get into the building! No need for passport photocopy as they keep the original anyway for a couple of days.

Forgive my answer - Lord only know's what I was thinking about

YES you do need the visa charge receipt and as previously advised you do not need a photocopy of you passport.

However, since the Embassy have had my passport, I have needed it for several identification purposes - just my luck., so I wouls suggest that you take a copy of your passport just for yourself.

excuse my ignorance but what is a visa charge receipt/visa bill? and why would you need it to get into the building?

When you get your pack 3 you will get a bank giro slip to to make payment for your visa (£63).

It's similar to the ones you would complete in a bank to pay in money except instead of one part that gets stamped by the bank to confirm payment there are two parts

One is your own copy and one is a copy you give to the Embassy along with all the other stuff.

I hope this makes sense - When I answered the question at first for some reason I though the OP was talking about a visa Bill, like credit card. I know I'm strange!!!

Yep, take it...but you don't need it to get into the building; you need your interview letter and passport for that. They aren't going to admit you on a visa bill receipt as it only has a number on, no other form of identification!

Good luck! :)

Meh! I didn't get one of those!

I remember the people that stand you in the queues outside were giving some out - So just ask someone when you get there.
