Emailing NVC

Just wondering if NVC really replies to emails that you send them, beyond just the automated response that I get because they received my email. I'm waiting to see if they have received our approved petition from USCIS so we can get the case number to schedule our interview. I tried calling them but I'm on hold for way too long, and I have to call them from overseas which is way too expensive to spend 10+ minutes on hold. I've been emailing them at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. Is this the correct email address?

Has anyone gotten a response confirming that they received the petition and/or given their case number through email?

Thanks.

So try calling DOS instead, They can tell you the embassy case number, when it was mailed, if the US embassy has it, if they have logged the information or mailed you things etc.

Our NoA2 was June 6th. I sent out an email on the 18th and haven't heard anything back yet. I bit the bullet on the 20th and called. They hadn't yet received it, so I will wait until perhaps a word via email and if I haven't heard anything by next week. I'll be calling NVC again.

Good Luck to you!

For calls, get a service like PINGO and it is a lot cheaper.

NOA2 on 30th May and the NVC still has not received our case.

We have called everyone and email everyone including DOS, congressman office, nvcresearch, nvcinquiry, CSC, Ombudsmand. You name it.

If your approval is coming from CSC, you'd better be prepared for a long wait. Some people have been waiting for over two months, consider yourself extremely lucky if NVC receives your case from CSC in 3 weeks.

It takes them around a week for a reply. Be patient, they reply to every single email.
