Hello - I am a naturalized US Citizen and wish to petition my brother (33 yrs old & single) to the US who currently lives in Australia.

My father is a US citizen - but born in Ireland and lives permanently in Ireland.

Would it be "quicker" for me or my father to petition for him? Or does my Dad have to be living in the USA?

Once the forms are submitted, can you share your experiences of what you had to do/wait?

Appreciate your thoughts.

Your father could file the petition, but he'd have to move back to the US before filing the affidavit of support. A sponsor must be domiciled in the US. No exceptions.
