Hello friends,

SO I was reading through the instructions for Affidavit of Support and I came across this 'graph:

For ALL sponsors:

A copy of your individual Federal income tax return,

including W-2s for the most recent tax year, or a statement

and/or evidence describing why you were not required to file.

Also include a copy of each and every Form 1099, Schedule,

and any other evidence of reported income. You may submit

this information for the most recent three tax years, pay stub(s)

from the most recent six months, and/or a letter from your

employer if you believe any of these items will help you

qualify.

So I've read a lot about the preference of the people processing these applications is Tax Transcripts. I have transcripts ready to send, but do I also need to submit W-2 for the most recent year? Anything else I need to send if I have Tax Transcripts?

Thanks!

if you send tax transcripts you don't need to send any other things with it. Just all pages of the tax transcript.

Sending Transcript is good enough to prove your last three years income. No need to send W-2 or other tax documents.

VSC is pretty quick in forwarding files to NVC compare to CSC. That's the reason why OP got the file to NVC quickly.

Yeah I think that's pretty typical.

I assume you've been calling NVC to ask about your case. If you give them the NOA 2 number, they'll be able to tell if you if they've received your case.

if you send tax transcripts you don't need to send any other things with it. Just all pages of the tax transcript.

Many thanks!

Sending Transcript is good enough to prove your last three years income. No need to send W-2 or other tax documents.

Thank you!

One other question. Can I sent the AOS to NVC right away or do I have to wait until the payment is processed and shows 'PAID?'

So, a letter from the employer is not necessary?

Well I would think like for someone like me just got job start date July 9th. So I won't have many pay stubs at NVC or interview maybe 2 to 6 (1 to 3 months worth).

But the pay stubs if ya have them I would imagine u need to show u r making money. A letter from employer sure couldn't hurt from HR stating ur income and weekly hours to show u are full time or part time.

Hope I'm not totally off base here.

thanks dwheels. well, I'm going to get a letter from my employer for sure especially since I Just started it this past april. but I need a cosponsor and was thinking about using my sister. she makes well over 20k a year, and has been for a while so that part is good but she is unable to get a letter from her employer since it's against their company policy. if it's not totally necessary for the cosponsor, that'd be great, hah.
