Hi. I just got my citizenship and planning to get my parents from Philippines but im worried that they will get denied because they cant speak english plus my moms medical condition. A friend adviced me that I can give that reason to take her here. Any help please and thanks in advance.

The not speaking English thing is not an issue by itself, but it may make the CO concerned how they will get jobs and support themselves.

The medical condition could be an issue, as health insurance is so expensive in the USA. The CO will likely require you to show you can not only meet the 125% poverty level, but also pay for health insurance for your parents.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

There is interpreter in the interview if they can speak English as long as they can speak Tagalog... better you are there for her interview..
