The Egyptian military wants that $2 billion in aid to keep coming from the U.S. If they were interested in allowing mass weapons to be smuggled into Gaza, it would already be happening.

Israel wants the rocket fire; that's why it keeps egging it on. (I am playing a game right now, but I will post the timeline shortly.)

U.S. congratulates Egypt's Morsi on "milestone" vote

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States congratulated Egyptian President-elect Mohamed Morsi on Sunday for his "milestone" victory and urged the Muslim Brotherhood leader to form his government carefully and respect the right of all Egyptians as he takes power.

Israel already has drones.

not really surprising, as drones are fairly cheap. i don't believe israel has ones that are as capable as the us models though. (see global hawk)

however, i'm still trying to figure out how the above relates to your earlier statement about the us assassinating the egyptian president with a drone strike.

I am not the one who brought up the idea that the U.S. would send drones into Egypt. I asked that particular poster to clarify - by asking did he think the U.S. would send an assassination drone.

Since Israel already has intelligence drones, I don't understand what the U.S. might do that Israel could not already do by itself, unless he meant assassination drones.
