Timeline

Hi again everyone, i paid my visa, scheduled medical and interview, my question is about my daughter which is K2, since she is to follow, can i pay her visa and set an appointment early next year?because she wants to finish her high school here. It will not affect the petition as K2?thanks!!!!

I believe you have one year for the K2 to follow without it being an issue.

I heard two years to bring a child over but use one year to be safe as Hank mentioned until you find out different.. Better safe than sorry.. Good luck

with follow to join on a K-2 Visa, the K-2 Visa must be issued within one year of the date the K-1 Visa was issued.

FYI - I'm not sure how old your daughter but in the states, I had few cousins who attended UST 1st yr..but had to repeat her high school senior when she arrived in USA, due to her age still being young. If you don't know it yet..we have 7th-8th grade classes and they base your daughter by age..so it doesnt matter if she finishes or not..she might have to retake her HS senior yr.

yeah im aware of that, she just want to finish high school here so i let her and no rush going to US...she is 16y/o when she follows, and one reason why i let her finish HS here is because if she decided to study college here it will not be a problem coz we can use her HS credentials here in PI.
