For an atheist you sure do have a bit of Bible knowledge. Or maybe you're not that kind of an atheist.

Actually from our discourse in the past I am persuaded he doesn't really know much about the Bible except where he has been directed by his Atheist resources.

I am rather impressed that he is taking the effort to read cover to cover, most Christians have not done that so, I have to hand it to him!

The old Testament is very dry in places, in fact it's a tool any insomniac should try.

I would recommend splitting time between the Old and the New, perhaps one chapter in each daily or however much you can digest.

But all that aside I do have one real concern.

You know many an Atheist has set out to disprove God only to become a convert.

We have seen the dogmatic Atheist L.I. has been here at VJ, there is every reason to believe his new found Faith in God would be expressed in the same obsessive manner.

Again, I give the guy respect for doing more than parroting Atheist talking points.

Respect for what? Posting a new thread everyday trying to convince the believers that they are wrong and that he is right? I don't know any athiests who try to cram their beliefs down someones throat. And he complains about Christianity?

What he believes is his business and I respect that. What I don't respect is all of these stupid threads he starts bashing those who believe and quote the Bible more than any minister or priest. Obviously he is very insecure in what he believes or doesn't believe.

In the deep south it is assumed that everyone believes in god. If you don't go to church people assume you still believe in god, but that you're just lazy.

While I'm already set in my beliefs, I don't mind when people from other religions try to get me to "think more like them". I understand that they truly believe that they are doing something good for me. So, while they are a little annoying, they honestly have the best of intentions.
