I am trying to get the package together for my hubby (the one for the green card, work card, and travel card.)

I just had a question about the Affidavit of Support (I-864), my father who is retired is the person filling out the I-864. What evidence does we need to send to USCIS with the affidavit of support?

We have his 2011, 2010 and 2009 taxes what else is necessary?

The form instructions are a great source of information. There you will find that proof of US citizenship or LPR status is required for a sponsor.

Also, the petitioner is also required to supply an I-864 regardless of income. Be sure to include that affidavit of support as well.

Proof of income, Usualy they look at Pay stubs if he has income but if he is retired most people dont get pay stubs. So prior year tax's will be sufficient. Sometimes even bank statements showing amount of deposit each month can be used as income. example of that would be if he is getting money from perhaps like rental property or some sort of business, etc.

If his prior year tax's show that he can support that many people with his income you will be fine.
