We have received an email that states:

"On October 16, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

We haven't gone to an interview yet but we have done biometrics.

What does this mean?

BTW...What does a "touch" mean?

Yes that sounds like an approval, I have read several posts, where couples get approved with out the interview.

Also touches are where you notice a date change in your case on line, but nothing eles, just means someone looked at your paper work. Look here for info about touches, Captain Ewok's post there explains it well. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=300

BTW...What does a "touch" mean?

Is this for your AOS or your EAD?

A touch is when you see a date changed when viewing your case file on the USCIS website. Look at the last date updated. If it changes but there is no other change in your status- that's a touch

Yes it means you were approved without an interview ... Congratulations !!

You should be receiving your greencard in the mail ....
