HAAAAAAAAA...this is a scream.

Talked with German US consulate. Certified copy of US birth certificate can only be done within the US.

Solution: ??? Guess I ask sweet daughter to simply order a new one for her possession.

Should government misplace the one I have (RFE) She can send the other one (or make certified copy and send)

WHY in GODS name should they lose it...

 So far that's all I know, for other stuff it's country specific. Just make sure birth, marriage, justice clearance must be in orignial, other documents is also and should be in original too or minimun certified copy but I don't see it say certified anywhere for civil documents accepting certified copy. NEVER send in photocopy without original attach, should be original + photocopy == Get back original during/when interview is over, they will keep the photocopy for record. I was in this position with my wife many years back and CO said...next time send in photocopy too so he doesn't have to photocopy them and waste their time + $$$. Now it no cents cause i'm broke

I forgot to tell you.....on birth certificate must SHOWN both parents names.

Neto...you need to use the filter and sort out example: IR-1, Country Sri-lanka after that look at the column Interview that have arrow up/down click on it, this will sort out ascending/descending date. Now this is where you look at others from case closed ===> interview date will give you an ETA of your country.

can't type today  ....Yep edit by...bla...bla.

Yes,i did as the same way, you know one Sri lanka guy i 130 got approved on 2009-10-13 and his interview date was 2010-07-06,its almost 9 months after he got approved by immigration, so same will take for me??? :( :( :(

Don't despair. Paying to much attention to others can pull your spirit down.

This other person might simply wasn't getting all their paper work done between approval of I-130 and interview.

Maybe they got delayed for some reason, or weren't in such hurry.

Every legal document should be original plus attached copy of original. (make extra copy for yourself)

NVC will send all your documents to your consulate after approval. This is where you get the originals back.

Yes, it does worry me the same. People tell stories of lost original papers. But I say this is still the minority in the millions of others who have no issues. Keep faith.

What to submit for marriage I don't know. I'm IR5.

I guess much the same. Coversheet, 2 photographs, birth certificate, marriage....by the way, Readerchoice gave very good advice. Don't write/call the police clearance--police clearance. Its much better to name it "justice clearance".

It might be wise to order another one. You might never need the other one for NVC.

But having an extra for your future does help.

There were times I needed mine inside the states and worried often I lose it.

I still got the paper but not the husband.:rofl:
