Some of the forms are out of date, but the NVC thread if you actually go through every link and read everything, it should help you. It seems overwhelming at first. Just skip the links that don't apply to you on it and you'll be fine. :)

The NVC thread is more up to date than the guide (which I posted the link to).

OK SO NOW I WILL CALL NVC ON MONDAY TI SEE IF THEY GOT MY CASE THEN GO FROM THERE....

Called USCIS today to file a service request as today is the 5 month 1 day mark. I was told that VSC is still working on May and it will be about 20 days till they get to my petition, PD June 4th. So

DCF is Direct Consular Filing. Where the USC lives abroad and the I-130 is therefore sent to the USCIS field office at the local consulate. Much MUCH quicker than filing to USCIS in the States.

We just received our approval letter from USCIS. I called NVC this AM. Not very friendly. I just called back one hour later and talked with another person. She said it takes 20 working days to be computerized. (I'm not in the computer yet) But should be this Monday. I used my first week to relax and prepare for the NVC stage. Now I'm ready.

Onto NVC, now!

Recl12, It's gotta be any day now. Did you send the stuff they needed already?

You wont believe what they did to me...On Apr 05, they said..we need evidence bla bla...sent you a letter on Apr 05..

But on Apr 09, they updated the same status saying now they have sent letter on Apr 09...means..they just killed 4 days in between...so..i am waiting for my second RFE to arrive...

now i feel its all intentional by USCIS...felt like cheated twice....even though i have a long journey ahead of approval...but they have stopped me on first step that is approval....i dont know what to do....waiting like stupid...dont know why its happening to me...they sau..we are procesing August..My foot...all lies..

My invoice is taking a little longer. AOS and IV haven't been invoiced yet. I sent the DS-261, though. It seems everyday brings something new when you're in the NVC stage. It is quick. And doing things actually makes it go by quicker, too! :)

i feel sad for my self, seems the people i am asking help loves procrastinating... need your prayers guys for my husband and sister to finally do what they need to do...

NVC usually takes 2 - 3 months, assuming everything goes smoothly and you've been proactive with gathering the necessary documents. Depending on how busy your consulate/embassy is, expect another 1 - 2 month wait for an interview. You could have the visa as soon as July, or as late as September. It depends on how quickly you get through NVC.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

September is too late,better if i get early its already 10 month.

Its very hard to say, but yeah take the advise from all of us "Have all your documents for each step ready"

I received the I-130 approval letter by snail mail within 7 days.

I called ONE time NVC and was told to give them 20 working days to generate case # and invoice.

So I be calling this coming Monday in hopes to receive it.

I have four steps after and hope I do well without any grievance from NVC side.

Don't forget printing everything and making copies of all you send out.

I say with my case# and invoice number I should run through this within the next 2 weeks,

and wait for them to finish up...and pray plenty... :dance:
