June 2012 I-130 Filers?

We have an update on our case: On March 4, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130... but the case status is still Initial Review.

Our PD is July 2nd.

Is it a good or a bad thing?

I saw something similar from another case in VJ it was just something they wasn't clear and may ask for additional papers but doesn't consider as RFE or approval.

Called USCIS today to file a service request as today is the 5 month 1 day mark. I was told that VSC is still working on May and it will be about 20 days till they get to my petition, PD June 4th. So

Congrats Cesar & Cata!! Hopefully we will be hearing something in the next few days. Our PD is June 4th!! But when I called they wouldn't let me put a SR in as they were supposedly 20 days behin

DCF is Direct Consular Filing. Where the USC lives abroad and the I-130 is therefore sent to the USCIS field office at the local consulate. Much MUCH quicker than filing to USCIS in the States.

Sometimes an approval comes shortly after a change like this, though. Just have to wait and see I guess.

04/04/2022: Check for passport cashed.

05/03/2022: Status changed to "The U.S. Department of State approved your application for your passport book. We're now printing your passport book and preparing to give it to you. You should receive your passport book on or around 05/09/2022."

05/05/2022: Passport Received.

05/09/2022: SSA Citizenship Status Updated.

05/25/2022: Naturalization Certificate received in mail.

If that is the case I'm also in the same boat PD July 31 and knowing they are creeping their way up there some where..... :lol:

The word "sometimes" disqualifies you from stating that you are in the same boat definitively. But I hope you are! :)

Just checked the 4 cases before mine one approved January 28, the other two February 28, and one had a request for additional evidence status... I got really excited thinking I might be next but them i decided to keep checking and there's a bunch of cases before mine that are still not approved.  (pd july 6th)
