June 2012 I-130 Filers?

Fiancee Visa...you file for fiancee Visa to enter...get married within 90 days (better before)...file immediately for adjustment of status....after this fiancee gets to stay until application is processed...A Fiancee Visa is an non-immigrant Visa-usually leading to immigration benefits. Adjustment of status papers are pretty much the same. Just different in letter and numbers to define where they have been filed, under what category.

I hope this helps.

Agreed! But it also similar for IR-5 (if one considering a different route but like I stated only few countries on visa waiver list). Once you're in USA b1/b2 visitor visa technically it really not a visa but more of electronic approval. From here the petitioner can file for their parents/children, during this process beneficiary can legally over stay past (90 days) while await for his/her approval. I think it the best stress free route.

For others IR-5 don't quote me in for it......talks and consult with your immigration lawyer. :P:lol:

What Happens Next?

If your relative is already in the United States, he or she may apply to adjust status to become a green card holder (permanent resident) after a visa number becomes available using Form I-485.

If your relative is outside the United States, your petition will be sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will forward your petition to the appropriate U.S. consulate when a visa becomes available and your relative will be notified about how to proceed. This process is referred to as “Consular Processing.”

Your family member’s preference category will determine how long he or she will have to wait for an immigrant visa number. Once you have filed a petition, you can check its progress the “My Case Status” page. For visa availability information, see the “Visa Bulletin” page on the U.S. Department of State website.

On this forum I don't think too many.

But of course we don't know how many in this world that filed I-130 with Vermont in June.

Well, 9000 filed in June at VSC. If the numbers I've seen in random subsets of 100 receipt numbers I found in June reflect the actual number of approved June applicants, then we are looking at somewhere around at least 5400 that have not been approved. VJ filers are having a higher success rate for some reason (possibly because they are properly filling out the paperwork or other reasons related to VJ or it could possibly be a fluke). 40% are waiting on VJ, but at least 60% are waiting worldwide who filed in June.

VSC is trying to look good with National average processing time of course.

Of course. Their only accountability seems to be the average. They should count the spread, too. lol. That'd get them back on the ball. Oh well. Can't be too much longer now.

From the looks of it, there are still 3 VSC VJers in May still waiting. The rest are either accounted for or haven't visited VJ for months and therefore their info is not relevant.

PS- No longer on site could also equal no profile/timeline.
