I got my case number and invoice id number a few days after approval, check my signature for details on the dates.

Not everyone country has electronic procesing, and there is a template DS-3032 email that can be used and sent from the beneficiary email.

There is a thread created each month called NVC Jan (Feb) that you can join, in the IR/CR progress forum.

I was approved on Nov 13 and flew through NVC, have interview for Jan 30. Expect visa in hand by Feb. 5. So 3 months after approval doesnt sound too far off.

Thank you and congratulation. I'm truly patient. I just like to get myself cleared on my next moves.

I was reading up how certain countries don't qualify for electronic. It didn't listed mine. (Germany)

It stated: You must use Form DS-260, and DS-261 if:

- The petition was approved in the US and

- The application is being processed by the NVC and

- The application is family based

I say this all applies to me. Now if by any chance you have a site where it states "GERMANY" is excluded, I be interested.

Thank you. So it seems possible to get case number and invoice by calling the hotline.

All the info on how to fly threw NVC is in post #1 and #2 here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/406819-nvc-filers-january-2013/

Germany is not within the select few that allow electronic Processing. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5165.html

I got this from a link on post #1 of the NVC thread. And yes, you will need to be proactive, call NVC a couple of days after approval to get your case number and IIN, and give your email addresses, at this point you can also send the ds3032 email. The NVC thread is worth the read.

Good Luck.

I appreciate your information. Yes, being proactive is what this is about. I have no problem emailing the DS-3032 as pdf or write one in the email. Thank you for all the links. Now I feel more at ease. I wish you well for your future.

I have another question. I found your links very helpful. Maybe you have info.

I need to send DS-230 to NVC.

Will I need supporting documents ???

Thinking they have supporting documents from the I-130.

I like sending DS-230 in advance to the states. (takes 14 days from here)

Hope you have some info.

Yes, there are documents you will have to send for the DS230, but again please take the time to read the #1 and #2 posts, all the info you need is there. I had to send, passport ID page (copy), birth cert, wedding cert, police clearance and the DS230 signed by the immigrant (only part 1). You will also need to send supporting docs with the afff of support, pay stubs, tax transcripts, etc.

I am getting a little stunned seeing people say "time to prepare for NVC" when they are VSC June filers getting approved, you guys have been waiting SOOOO long, I would hope all of you have the documents (or at least a list) needed for the NVC stage. I know I couldnt wait to have everything ready.

If you guys submit (as soon as you know your NVC case number) the DS 3032 email template found in the wiki, then use the "supervisor review" (to send again a day or two after) subject line that is expalined in the NVC thread, you will be able to pay both the AOS and IV fees within the first week in NVC.

In a perfect scenario you will have all your docs ready to be sent in a week or two after NOA2.

I have all the supporting documents. Just wasn't sure if I need to send any with part ONE. I will read the link.

I file I-864w. I have 40 credits. This means just scanning the cover page. They check with the SS administration.

Now I will send the DS230 with all supporting documents to the state in advance, and have them mailed from there when the time comes. Thanks again. You've been ever so kind and helpful.

I definitely agree with you! It's really helpful to have the documents (Or most of them) that will be needed at NVC stage ready even before the approval of the I-130.

During the long waiting I have been gathering all the docs, getting translations, apostilles etc, so once we start the process, we just gotta email what they request!! I am happy that Mexico is listed for Electronic processing YAY

We are ready for NVC!
