Yep I agreed....just sent in what ever they ask and get it over with. The other route could be done too and could save you little $$$.

My daughter is one of me, driving me insane...rofl.gif

She emailed

I pick it up on Friday, its ready then

Me, being the mother

Girl, what is ready on Friday?? I have no clue where she is at the moment and what she did.rofl.gif

I mean,, common Readerchoice...I don't know now if she means she deals with the printer on Friday rofl.gif

or is the court doing the papers till Friday. rofl.gif

What did I say Readerchoice? It worked...received email back.

Documents will be sealed by Friday for $10. I wire funds tomorrow. dancin5hr.gif What a tough, good girl.

Here is what I do...Writing NVC and waiting for supervisor response might complicate things. (I only lose one week time)

1. Daughter picks up papers. By than I have instructed her how to assemble. Cover Barcode sheet, Checklist letter, divorce degree.

2. Daughter can send it out on Friday by certified mail with return receipt, should arrive Monday.

3. I express mail my first original(absolute) divorce degree (from TN) tomorrow. Cover Barcode sheet, checklist letter, divorce degree.

Should arrive Saturday or Monday. dancin5hr.gif

NVC will only check if they have seal and call case complete. It wont take to much time because all other documents are already completed.luv.gif

Wired refund of $10 and slap on the back for her good job.......if that was me I will demand $100 rofl.gifrofl.gif

The whole plans of express mail sound like it going to expensive and it doesn't have to be that way really. Express mail within states cost $18 which is overnight delivery.

So by reading your post and my understanding is that your documents won't be ready by the court house by this Friday, today is Tuesday..........this mean you have plenty of time. Let's break this down in a more economical way for you.............

Sending a full size USPS priority envelope letter (envelope is FREE at post office) within lower 48 states flat rate cost: $5.85 take 2-3 days with tracking #

So if you send your divorce degree from TN ---> Maine using USPS priority (free envelope at post office) should take 2 days max...........

Your daughter should receive documents by Thursday get everything ready............Friday walks to court house pickup the other divorce papers.....

Go to post office put everything in a priority full size envelope (again FREE) included tracking# send to NVC which is next door cost; $5.85 should arrived next morning (which is Saturday) same as express mail cost you $18 and since no one is there they will have to come back on Monday for signature.

Bottom line she will send everything in within 1 package instead of multiple packages, beside if you overnight document from TN to NVC they will still have to wait for your daughter second papers anyway. This is just my 2 cents idea9dv.gif

Now with all that money saved from overnight express mail.....you can reward me the differences. rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

You wished...girlwerewolf2xn.gif (I love this face, watch it closely)

We have a misunderstanding. My TN documents are with me in Germany. I found the documents of absolute divorce degree in my folder.

I must have send just the copies without realizing it. This of course is a mute point now, Because what I thought was Maine's original turned out to be nothing worth. diablo.gif

You owe me a couple cents for making your voice to be heard (in our case I read you) shocked.gif

My daughter sends the papers out with UPS on Friday. Circa $ 6

I send mine from Germany tomorrow with DHL express. Circa $ 65 crying.gifcrying.gifcrying.gif

I wire tomorrow $10 plus $6 plus her gasoline and birthday. This way I owe her no "THANK YOU"rofl.gif

It will be the other way around.rofl.gif

This sound depressing.................laughing.giflaughing.giflaughing.gif

I give you something amazing. Just taken a bath...don't laugh...we think under the shower...I got to thinking inside the tub.

When I talked with NVC, they mentioned something to me about a death certificate. I kept asking who died?

There was a little confusion because of the divorce degree. Somehow we thought...that someone was thinking that one of my former husband might dies. (Well, I assure you they still live)

Now comes the kicker. Thinking in the tub is good. They most likely talk about my fathers death certificate. (I have original with me).

Reason: I filed I-407 because/for my dad. DS230 got a copy. And his death is written in the DS230.

They might want the simple proof of his death, and that he was reason I left the USA.

The thought occurred to me that they might think I did tax evasion. I'm broke as it is.

Now there is some sense to it.

I received the checklist from NVC by email. It only indicates divorce degree.... doesn't say which one.....

now I feel better I send both original and dads death certificate........Reason: I followed what their computer says and their office worker.

There is a possibility they send checklist for each. One checklist per request.

Ha....Bite me.... I send it all out.....

Its all mailed from my side. Just waiting for Fridays papers.

This should go quick enough now. They touch the seal with their finger and call it completed.

Yes this also called RED TAPE in some part of the world. rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

They may just pickup the death certificate and enter it in the system at later time......but it is good thing you call them, otherwise you will get another RFE for that.

Sometimes I wonder if you for real roll on the floor laughing.

I just finished scanning/attaching Barcode sheet/ Checklist/ and my famous instruction for daughter and emailed it.

She will do fine.

NVC said case complete except...Well..it didn't hurt to send it.

Eerie feeling touching my fathers death certificate. So I said, Dad...you're going on a journey and when you get there make sure they finish their job. Very weird. rofl.gifyes.gif
