rofl.gifrofl.gif .............." whatever this means. Pardon me while I go and vomit for a moment. "" i'm sorry I couldn't help stop laughing.

I think what they wants is the original documents with official court stamp or embossing SEAL. Did you send in original with seal?.

I thought I did. I send what I received after court.

My plan of action.

1. I emailed my daughter. I hope she gets one handed out in Maine. I need her to print barcode sheet and send this one by certified mail.

2. The first one from TN I can take care of tomorrow.

Pretty much they receive 2 letters.

The court only give my wife 1 copy of divorce degree with both stamp on it. One of the seal is ink stamp and other is embossing seal. She will ask her mother to get it back when the game is over at interview.

I assume some court documents have embossing seal and they wants to see that.

Just call NVC back and tell them you will bring the original documents with you on the interview day and if they can go ahead and complete your case. You may wants to talks to tier 2 or supervisor instead of operator, at time they may be ok with it.

This sounds good what you say. But I see one issue.

I did find my first divorce degree with seal. Original certified.

But the second one got only the judges signature and docket number. Courts location on front page.

There is no stamp or seal. I did received this one on the day of my divorce.

Now I can't even claim this to be original even if this is one ????

Usually once the judge hand over those papers you must go to the window within the court house and paid them I think $20 to have it stamp with embosses seal. Otherwise those documents are just plain no good.

This is just your personal opinion I ask. You think if I scan the three pages, have her print it out and get an embosses seal.

Its worth a try...If this doesn't work she needs to order a new one.

I most likely need to write permission, I can scan my old drivers license and social security card. My daughter and I don't carry the same last name.

Don't laugh to hard...But maybe its written on security paper. I just don't know how security paper looks like.rofl.gifrofl.gif

I'm not sure about permission, for married certificate you don't required one and anyone can just requested for you. I don't know about divorced degree, but I remember the lawyer told her at the time to hold on to them till the day you die, as these documents are pain in the rear to request. He also mention the embosses seal for $20 and this is how I know about it.

I would have your daughter call the local court house and ask them if they will endorse your divorce degree documents with stamp embosses seal or does it have to be specific court where it issues?. Sure you can scanned and reprint them as many copy as you wants but each must have the embosses seal or stamp for the documents to be officially valid. I'm 80% sure that your daughter will not need your permission to have the documents stamp, because it already been approved by the judge just need to verified with court seal as this documents aren't type up by you.

But in the mean time call NVC back and ask operator if you could talk to supervisor to discuss your IV package and if you can bring the original documents during interview and have your case completed.

Hey Readerchoice,

I will print another barcode sheet . Question: Please don't tell me I need another large DHL envelope. Even two pages cost 65 dollars. Can I fold regular envelope?

If you decided or NVC won't close your case than..............

Have your daughter reprint those documents and call the local court house see if they will endorse your documents, that's how I got 2 copies with embosses seal. Once that done have your daughter print out the cover letter and send it in along with your documents.

I don't see it say you can't fold and send them in smaller envelop but it sure doesn't look nice and straight when they're going through your papers. IE: When you send in your US naturalization paper it must be in an envelope and they don't recommended you fold it in any way or plastic laminate.

Thank you for your support.

I did just now talked with NVC. (they know how often we call) haha...

1. They case can be completed for interview and I show papers at interview.

But I have to wait for the checklist to return with a request to close case at NVC.

This is dumb because it takes 14 days to receive the checklist and than return request.

2. My daughter needs to take of this part, if not my friend. Someone (who cares who)

Maybe a printed copy works and the clerk at court will stamp, raise seal, indicate it was filed......

I can email the barcode to print and have it send directly from there to NVC.

3. I take care of the first degree and send it from here in large envelope for 65 dollars.

NO...I think this time around the mail has time to arrive, because it takes time for the other paper.

What you think?

I maybe should hold off sending it. But have my daughter go ahead. Maybe the checklist is coming by email this week.

Than my daughter can send me the papers.

I'm not correcting my English

My poor daughter.

Scanned divorce papers. Scanned ss card and Maine license and a written note to the clerk (with lots of love) Told them this is for immigration purpose.

My daughter will print it out in school tomorrow and run over to the court. Its small enough.

There is now hope the clerk just signs each page and stamps, seals it as a final, absolute divorce degree.

This would be nice.

I forwarded the barcode sheet for daughter to print, and when all goes well I give her tomorrow final instruction.

If all goes well and we get this out, I will send mine her at the same time.

Sounds like a plan

This is my opinion..........

1. Did you talk to a supervisor instead of operator? I read some thread and see that some supervisor is easier going than other so you may have to try 2 or 3 before making decision. An example of a guy on April 2013 thread from Belgium.....he got a checklist on his AOS, so he called NVC talk to supervisor and they agreed upon to close his case and I believed he did submitted a letter requesting case close via email with supervisor request in subject line and they did close his case.

2. If they said you have to wait for the checklist than may as well and wait for it than submit the whole entire request package all together rather 1 after another or a letter request to close case (yes it dumb if you ask me....I don't even know why they telling you that). I think they just referring to general statement but it could be email instead.

3. $65 dollars you know it will get there fast and it will cutting down time if you're in a hurry, but in this case if you're going to wait for the checklist in snail mail or email? and it will take a week than may as well just send it regular mail for your other documents for your daughter.

Right now I would use the DS3032 template and erase whole body content except for case# and EAC# petitioner bla...bla..... In the body of content telling them you got a checklist related to bla...bla....and you will be bring the original documents to interview and request for case close on NVC part. Submit this email ASAP.....it doesn't cost you anything if answer yes or no here. Call NVC again tomorrow ask and talk to supervisor if they can close your case, if they tell you to wait for checklist and send in a letter, just say you already submitted the letter via email with supervisor request.

Good luck and I hope you getting things clear out fast it not a big deal. What happen here is you just submitted a photocopy but forgot to give them the original that's all and will provided to consular at the time of interview.

This is really good information. I will do it like you suggest and use the DS3032 template. More than yes or no they can't say.

However, I will wait until after my daughter been at the clerks. If the clerk embosses the degree right away...I say she can send it express with barcode to NVC. A short letter indicating the checklist. Not even waiting for checklist to arrive. Its inside their computer.

I could send express the other divorce degree at the same time from Germany. I have the original embosses first one with me.

If there is an issue in Maine court and we need to order another one. We have somewhat a timeframe, and she can send it to me for interview.

Setting up interview takes some time. This can work out too.

Not sure what I hope for. Just some speed...I will not wait for checklist. I can't change that we have to express mail from Maine and Germany.

But with a short notice letter they will know. I'm so tired.

If you're going to respond to checklist than I wouldn't send it in 2 different times but instead of 1 package contain all. If you're going to send it to NVC, send it to your daughter and she will gather everything and drop it off to NVC as 1 package.

But I would try the email method and call them in the afternoon give them sometimes going through your email. It's like shooting 1 stone knocking out 2 birds.

I must be too tired to make much sense.

Sending my papers to my daughter cost the same expense. (I trust no one with regular mail at this time)

I be sleeping by the time she hits the courthouse. If all goes well papers are stamped and sealed by the time I check my email ...

She sends her part and I send mine from here.

I'm sure NVC can deal with 2 mails.

I will not wait for them to send checklist out. I will write a letter, letting them know the meaning of the packages.

If court clerk says NO...I run the other route you suggested.

I have no chocolate in the home...what a morning.girlwerewolf2xn.gif
