This translation issue bothered me all night.

I found many visajourney threat on this. Because the wording is so misleading people make translations.

1. NVC doesn't approve the visa or provide them on a passport.

2. NVC only assemples the papers for consulate/embassy

3. Visa is handled at the consulate where applicant applied for or resides.

4. If you do adjustment of status inside the US all needs tranlation into English.

5. If in your own country, your language and English is fine.

But if you have something in another language than your own or English, translation is needed.

I read some on the German threat and people didn't provide translation for NVC stage.

This is actually country specific. Document translations are required for some countries even though the document is in the language of the country. China is an an example of this.

Hey Ryan, thanks for responding. But It still doesn't tell me much.

I do or I don't? Its seems still conflicting even thought some German never translated documents for NVC, there are they ones who did.

I like being pro active even if I feel too lazy to even think about it.

All my documents are in English (from within the US). Because I lived here past 6 month I needed the justice clearance, which turned out to be in German language.

I say I make myself more crazy than I need to.

Contact the Immigrant Visa unit at the US Consulate in Frankfurt and ask them if they require document translations or not. Go with what they tell you.

I checked one more time to find the reason why I send my DS230 documents the way I did.

I did followed German consulate instruction for NVC.

Besides the DS230 I was required to send the DS2001. Which holds the checklist of documents that needs to be send to NVC, it too states if interview ready.

The checklist doesn't require translation as long the documents are in English or German language.

This settles my issue. I had my reason for sending it this way.

Just got confused with all the other countries requirement.

That's great!!!!! Got you panic for few days eh.....laughing.giflaughing.giflaughing.gif . It mean you're now to the next step of the waiting game (interview schedule date).kicking.gif .

When you're on NVC website reading related to IV package, they are referring in general and one must continue on to the link at the bottom to read on country specific requirements.

Oh, I imagine your laughing. Your so correct, I did read the general stuff.

I truly should have known myself better. I don't just take care of things without a reason.

I mean I don't waste my time or anyone elses. My DS2001 stated exactly what was needed and how.

Someone ones mentioned I didn't need this form, but I send it anyway. Glad I did.

I'm more concerned with my divorce degree. I changed my degree 5 years later. Didin't like the first outcome. hahah..

But they got all documents. Hope they understand. (Most people don't know you can challenge and change a divorce degree)

I'm pretty nifty. We shall see what happens. This Wednesday will be 10 working days. Enough time to have an answer.

I'm not sure if today is a Federal Holiday. You can stop laughing now....devil.gif

At long as your divorce degree is legit I don't see a problem with it that just my opinion.

And nope today is not Federal holiday in the states, everyone suppose to be doing 9-5 ordeal including NVC. rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif I probably assuming you're on the phone right now on hold with NVC wondering about your DS-230. ClockWatch2.gif

I think what they wants is the original documents with official court stamp or embossing SEAL. Did you send in original with seal?.
