Hi everyone, I've been on this site many times and finally, today I decided to sign up and ask some questions.

I am a US citizen and I am filing the I-130 for my husband who lives in Pakistan. I had some questions about the I-130 form and the G325A form.

1. For the I-130 form- question

2. For my husband's G325A- He has been in the US before. He has been going back and forth between the US and Pakistan for the past 5 years (he had a student visa but now it's expired). What addresses should he write in the section where it says "applicant's residence last five years"? Only the places he's lived in the US, only the places he's lived in Pakistan, or every place he's lived (US and Pakistan)?

3. For my G325A- In the section where it says "if your native alphabet is in other than Roman letters, write your name in your native alphabet", what do I write here? Now that I'm a US citizen, should I write N/A here or should I write my name in Urdu (the national language of Pakistan and the first language that I learned)?

4. For my G325A- What do I write for the "file number" field? It says "A". Does this mean alien registration number? If yes, as a US citizen, do I include my A number here or no? Is that even still valid?

4. For evidence to include with the I-130 to establish the bona fides of our marriage, what can I include? We weren't able to have a wedding ceremony so I don't have any pictures. We don't have any account where we have our finances mingling. We didn't buy property together. We don't have any children. Here are some things that I think I might be able to use: we took two trips together after getting married; one to Pakistan and one to another state. I added him to my credit card (I don't know if that is even a big enough deal to count as evidence). Ever since we got married, every time he comes to the US, we live at the same address.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't know where else to turn and this forum seems pretty active.

Thanks again!

Get a decent life insurance policy on his life and vice verse. You need one anyways.

Aside from that, show joint electricity bills, gas bills, other utility bills. Show other insurance policies with both of your names like tenant insurance, home insurance or auto insurance, etc..

Other things like a will (which you also need) would be evidence. Let me think...maybe if you take pictures of you two with family and friends and explain the outing.

You could get people who know both of you to sign affidavits in front of a notary public.

I think adding him to your credit card (if you can provide evidence that you did) could be considered co-mingling of financial resources. If there are pictures of your trips together, then get them printed and use those as evidence.

Inky- thank you for moving my post to the right forum where it can get more attention and possibly help other people who might have the same questions.

bsd058- thank you for your answer. I think my best option would be to get our family and friends to sign affidavits for us.

Another question which I forgot to mention before is this: Even though I am a US citizen now, should I include my alien registration number on the I-130?

Thanks again!

My husband did it and gave them his citizenship certificate photocopy to show he is qualified to fill a IR1 visa for me. And approved our application no problem.

Every place should be mentioned. If he had lived in more than one city in pakistan for more than 6 months, he needs to get police clearance certificate from those cities but that is for 2nd stage

3. For my G325A- In the section where it says "if your native alphabet is in other than Roman letters, write your name in your native alphabet", what do I write here? Now that I'm a US citizen, should I write N/A here or should I write my name in Urdu (the national language of Pakistan and the first language that I learned)?

Both of us ( me & my wife)didnt write our names in urdu and left it blank.

Thank you to everyone for their answers. It really helps to get input :)

Baqir- I have more questions for my question #2: my husband will include every place he's lived at (Pakistan and US). But once, he lived in the US for 6 months, then in Pakistan for 2 months, then the US again for 6 months. So how should he go about when writing down those dates and places? When he went to Pakistan for 2 months, I went with him but when I filled out my G325A, I just wrote my US address as my place of residence for the last 5 years.

Thank you again.
