I just recently only sent my I-130 and waiting for NOA2 and I know it's going to take a while. I understand process and workloads, and have nothing but time to kill at the moment.

What can I do in the meantime to speed up the process? (This is in addition to all of the shortcuts for NVC, service requests, preparing my paperwork, and all the normal stuff). I know some people get success in notifying their Congressman, but I'm looking for other ideas to expedite the process even further (no matter how crazy they may sound). I know some people who want to get into West Point Military Academy for example, end up making a "contribution" to their political representative for a spot. Do you think political contributions could work in this context in a similar fashion?

Do you think having complaints posted all over the internet would do anything (provided you have a large enough mouthpiece or online clout)?

Perhaps annoying to death, the people at my processing center with incessants phone calls, emails, letters, etc requesting for status updates and ETA's?

I'm looking for crazy sounding ideas that have little chance of producing any results, but perhaps even a small chance of doing something.

I would not advise bothering uscis to speed up your adjudication. They know you just filed and they will not be happy if you call now.

WOW is all I can say....calling and bothering the USCIS constantly when you just filed and taking all of these actions isn't going to do you a bit of good. It might hurt your case as it will end up at the bottom of some pile somewhere every time they pull it. There are people who file who have valid reasons for expedite requests and many times are denied expedites...and may I ask how old you are? Because you sound like a spoiled teenager who is used to getting everything they want just because they make a little noise. Be like everyone else and wait your turn.

Of course, I'm not unreasonable or have the patience of a 2 year old. I only threw it out there because in most other "service organizations" (and having worked for a few) the squeaky wheel gets the grease. No matter how unpleasant the customer is.

I'm in my 30's. If you say I sound like a spoiled teenager, that's a little dismissive and condascending, don't you think? How old are you?

What I've come to learn is this type of approach works in certain situations, but have no experience in dealing with this in a government setting. Which is why I'm asking the folks here.

I'll do whatever is necessary to get my loved one closer to me in the fastest possible time, and will never be apologetic for that.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged. I'm just a product of this ridiculously lengthy obtuse process.

I am all for getting this done ASAP.

Okay, you are not a teenager. You're in your 30's. This makes it even worse. Haven't you figure out by now that it IS A FREAKIN' CRIME TO BRIBE A US GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL? THIS IS HOW YOU WANT TO START YOUR LIFE WITH YOUR WIFE???? Wow.

If you to apply political pressure than get ready to write a very hefty contribution to your favorite politician (assuming you find one with the right connections). How much do you think a congressman will take in political contribution to help you? How much of his/her career and family security will he/she risk for your contribution? Will $200 work? Will $2,000? How about $10,000?

And finally, no one likes a pest and no one likes helping a pest. Pestering people is not the way to get what you want. It like being a spoiled child. Fortunately, most children outgrown this.

The immigration process cannot be influenced by a US government official without a valid reason. Think about the president of Iran being denied a visa to come to a UN meeting. The reason for this is because of exactly what you are suggesting, bribery or favors. Your representative can certainly contact the appropriate agency to inquire about your case but they can do NOTHING to speed it up without a valid reason.

USCIS, DOS, etc do keep a log of all your phone calls and like most people, will actually out of vindictiveness place your file at the bottom of the stack if you hound them enough.

But, if you have money to use, send it to me and I will call them as many times as you like.
