Hi,

Ive been flooding the forum with several questions as my wife and I are awaiting the approval of our I-130. I'm just looking for some insight on what documents and evidence we need to send to the NVC and when to send it. This is our grasp on it so far:

1. NOA2 received - case sent from vermont service centre to NVC with all documents

2. NVC contacts petitioner/beneficiary(?) with case number and IIN (what is this?) and sends us a packet to the beneficiary

3. Fees are paid online and then we can send in the completed packet

items in packet include:

DS-230 (also known as OF-230) part 1 and 2 filled by beneficiary but only part 1 signed

DS-169??? cannot find this form online

I-864 AOS from the petitioner including tax info for 3 previous years and pay stubs

I-864a AOS from petitioners father who we plan to initially live with on arrival in the US including tax info for 3 previous years and pay stubs

DS-3032 - this can be emailed from the beneficiary to the NVC

Police certificate from beneficiary

Photocopy of beneficiary's passport main page

Photocopy of petitioners passport main page

marriage certificate

Do i need to include anything else?

4. Once the NVC receives the packet it is processed and providing it is ok then gets sent to the london embassy.

5. Embassy schedules a medical for me

6. after attending the medical the results are sent to the embassy and providing they are ok they schedule an interview

7. At the interview I need to take copies of everything including evidence of the relationship (wedding/trip photos, Skype print outs) anything else?

8. At the end of the interview I will be informed whether my visa has been granted or not????

Please can anybody tell me where i'm wrong and how/what i need to do so that I can get prepared.

Thanks for reading

Dean

We're in the same boat. Totally lost on the NVC process. Our 130 was approved May 17, 2012. But the NVC is saying they still havent received it and USCIS is saying they sent it out May 17. So its been a nightmare. But, what I have read and been told, is to not send anything to the NVC until they request it. They'll send you a request for fees and what to do next, what forms to fill out, what paperwork youll need, etc. I've asked if I can send everything in while they're "looking" for our petition and they said no. Its extremely frustrating. I've also heard the NVC is really backed up right now and taking a very long time to process petitions. I was so happy when we were approved, thinking everything would fly by after that. I was sorely mistaken. When did u submit your 130?

Sorry to hear that. We submitted the I-130 in march and received the NOA1 on March 19th. Ive saw a couple of march filers being approved so just want to be ready so we can trim as much time as possible while we are waiting.

Recently,it's taking a month to assign case number.

2. NVC contacts petitioner/beneficiary(?) with case number and IIN (what is this?) and sends us a packet to the beneficiary

Yes,you can wait for a few weeks or just call them everyday to get your case number and give them both of you email address.

Waiting a month to get the packet or downloading from online application to fill out.

INN is Invoice Identification number

3. Fees are paid online and then we can send in the completed packet

Must sure the payment status showing as PAID

items in packet include:

DS-230 (also known as OF-230) part 1 and 2 filled by beneficiary only part 1 sign and date, not part2 sign or date it

DS-169??? cannot find this form online

What is that? Are you filling IR1 or CR1?

I-864 AOS from the petitioner including tax info for 3 previous years and pay stubs

I-864a AOS from petitioners father who we plan to initially live with on arrival in the US including tax info for 3 previous years and pay stubs

DS-3032 - this can be emailed from the beneficiary to the NVC

original Police certificate from beneficiary

Photocopy of beneficiary's passport main page

no need thisPhotocopy of petitioners passport main page

original+ 1Photocopy- marriage certificate

original+ 1Photocopy-birth certificate of beneficiary

Do i need to include anything else?

4. Once the NVC receives the packet it is processed and providing it is ok then gets sent to the london embassy.

wait both of packets together, then 1 or 2 weeks to assign your interview date, if i am right

5. Embassy schedules a medical for me

not for cr1 or ir 1, K1 do.

6. after attending the medical the results are sent to the embassy and providing they are ok they schedule an interview

7. At the interview I need to take copies of everything including evidence of the relationship (wedding/trip photos, Skype print outs) anything else?

assets or liabilities sharing such as bank statement, lease agreement or loan ,car

8. At the end of the interview I will be informed whether my visa has been granted or not????

it depends on the consulate

Please can anybody tell me where i'm wrong and how/what i need to do so that I can get prepared.

We are applying for the CR1.

When you say wait on both packets, which two packets are you referring to?

Also, am I not required to have a medical when applying for the CR1?

thanks for your reply and valuable info.

Im pretty certain everyone is required to have a medical. They're very strict on that. We're waiting on the NVC, once my husband FINALLY gets his interview date he'll have a medical in Dublin a couple of days before his interview.

Petitioner -AOS I864 and beneficiary-DS230,IV packet.

Also, am I not required to have a medical when applying for the CR1?

Are you the petitioner? if you are then not about you.

It's for beneficiary. Waiting to be told will waste of time.

Like me, I know what requirements for the medial exam, I am beneficiary.

So, I made an appointment first then get some shots with my General practitioner.

thanks for your reply and valuable info. you are welcome!

Dean

Seems you will send two packets together?

Then you have to make sure what is for you, what is for your spouse.

I'm the beneficiary. It was my understanding that the embassy assigned a doctor for you and a date, is this not true? Also my wife and I had planned on sending everything to my wife first and then sending it all in one packet. is this not advise able?

thanks

1.Yes, they assign the panel physician in your country but not a date because you are not K1 visa-fiance. Yours is a spousal visa. They will only tell you must have done your medical exam before the interview being proceed. Please check with the US embassy in the UK.

You don't need to worry, you will get medical instructions and interview information after your case is completed.

Then you will have time to do it.

you must have an immunisation record to prove your immunity before seeing the panel physician. If you don't have one, you must have done everything with the panel physician.

Well, you may need to figure out which way is better to you.

You can search from this forum at specific area-U.K..

Must have someone from your country. You can ask their experience.

From my experience,

I searched from this forum: embassy info. then I read the embassy website in Australia. There is only one panel physician in my state~~~ :(

I knew who is the panel physician. So, after comparing the cost. I chose to have some immunity shots with my GP. Then bringing my immunity record to the panel physician.

By the way, the panel physician at my state in my country. They are not strict about case number. Therefore, some people from my state who did their medical exam before receiving their case number. Anyway,I am not the case because I got it before making an appointment with the panel physician.

2.I think sending two packets together or separate to NVC, it doesn't matter.

However, I am not sure it's ok put all documents in one packet.

AOS=I864 has its barcode coversheet,IV=DS230 has its,either.

Because DS230=IV packet(from you filling) will send to the consulate not in NVC,if I am right. You may ask other people.

We plan to send our packets separately because an international registered mail is quite expensive. And I think sending once directly to NVC can reduce risks even though I heard some people said that NVC lost their documents.

Good luck~

Dean,

You will have to book an appointment with the panel physician.

There is only one physician in the UK.

They are based in London - they have 2 surgeries. One close to Knightsbridge and one close to Bond Street.

You will have to have an updated immunization record. I went to my GP 2 weeks ago, got 2 "boosters" and the MMR jab done. If you don't do it at your GP the panel physician will do it at a cost.

You will have to have your LND number (case number). They WILL NOT book you an appointment without it. I tried and failed.

I went yesterday and if you have all your documentation ready it's a breeze. The cost is £227.

HTH.

Thanks Keeto that clears it up a lot. Ive had a look at the immunisation list and I'm left slightly confused.

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/39181/pdfs/vaccinechart.pdf

Do I need all of the vaccinations listed at the above link excluding the ones not available in the UK or is it just the ones that age ranged i fall in?

Cheers

Dean,

You only require the immunizations that fall in your age group. The nurses at my GP surgery was also a bit confused at first with that particular list.

The Varicella (Chickenpox) you are exempt from because it's not available in the UK - they only asked me if I've had it and I said yes because I had it when I was 7 - "they" being the panel physician in my medical yesterday.
